Where do I put new units files?

Hi. I don't seem to find anywhere instructions on how to add the new units, downloaded from this site, to the game. They are not actual "mods" apparently and I don't know what to do.

There should be instructions on the page where you download them from.

They are for the most part just the 3d animation files needed for a new unit, but they don't in most cases have the XML/SQL code the game needs to define and use a new unit.
