where to download?

Hi all,

I have some time to kill and would love revisit this Civ2 game. Back in the day I was a fanatic and played at the toughest level, I won many times as I had a system.

However I don't have my old CD.. Its now retailing online for around $5 but my laptop is 'so advanced' that I don't even have a CD drive any more. So I went to download it, but its download is nowhere for sale. I then saw it on a bunch of torrent sites that look illegal or malicious. Please can someone help be get my most loved game back?!

There are solutions and they are simple.
Download from internet or copy original CD as iso-file to some usb-stick.
If you have any of Microsoft windows systems then play iso-file with daemon or old good alcohol51.
If you have any of Linux versions run in Wine.
Install and paste no-cd patch (available on internet).
Civfanatics have planty of scenarios, maps, mods and patches for all versions of civ.

I love Civ II I have been playing it on a 64 bit HP with a "Windows 7 Professional" operating system.computer for many years. Last week I got some sort of bug/virus (whatever you call it). My hard disc had to be totally cleaned. Three days ago when I tried to re-install my "Civ II Multiplayer Gold" on my same computer (now with a totally "clean hard disc" everything was distorted and I couldn't type any commands. I took it back to my "computer doctor" and he ended up making things even worse. My CD is still sitting in my computer drive, but every time I try to do something to get it coing again, it never works out.

Any Suggestions?
