Where to Put Custom Content?

Hi all, just dropping in with a quick question that can easily be answered by one of you knowledgable types!

As the thread title says, where do I put the custom maps I've downloaded? I'm asking because I've literally pasted this .mp file in every folder I have, both for the main install and over in the Our Docs\My Games\... location, and I'm still not seeing it anywhere in-game.

Also, I guess I should just go ahead and ask where .bic files go too, since I blanket-pasted a couple of them too, and it seems silly to have lots of unnecassery copies everywhere.

I guess you should follow installation instructions that are usually included with fan-made modifications. Or ask in the thread from where you downloaded the file. Generally, unless you want to mess up your civ installation, copy e.g. graphics files into My Games... folder. You can put custom maps under Program Files into Public Maps folder.
