Why Civ3Conquest always wants to reinstall?

Hi!
I recently go me a new PC with windows XP. Everything seems to be in order, except...
When I insert the C3C-cd in my cd-drive, it automatically launches suggestion to install game - now I always have to run the "repair"-option to make things work.

So, what might be my problem? Any help available?

It sounds like the location of your C3C installation is different to the one listed in the registry. Did you make a fresh installation of the game, or did you just move the old hard drive to the new computer?

There are two solutions that I can think of:

1) Back up your saves and reinstall the game.

2) Edit the registry entry for this game. (WARNING: you should only do this if you know what you are doing. If you accidentally corrupt the registry you may have to reinstall Windows).

I made a "fresh" install. Maybe the best solution would be to re-re-re-install it. Or just remove the autorun from my cd-drive
