Will We Ever Get a Unique Tank in Civ 6?

I don't think there will be any in all of Civ 6!

America, Russia, and Germany are clearly the three most logical candidates for a unique tank. None of them got one.

We probably won't get a unique tank in the future as part of a leader UA, either. The German and Russian leaders most associated with tanks, Hitler and Stalin, are very unlikely to make it into the game. Theoretically, we could get the US with the unique Sherman tank under FDR. But I doubt it. The game already uses the Sherman as the default tank model! So I feel like that's an unlikely choice for a unique unit.

I guess maybe we could get a unique French tank if De Gaulle were added as an alternate leader (he was a tank commander before he led Free France), but that seems pretty far-fetched.

Of course, the game will be fun and playable even if every civ uses the generic tank. But as someone who enjoys reading about tank combat and also enjoys conquering Pangaea maps with tanks in civ, I'd love to get a unique tank in there. So can anyone figure out a good way it could happen?

It's always possible that with add-ons some of the uniques will be shuffled/altered so it's still possible. I'm also quite certain that if we get a WW2 scenario there will be some unique tanks.

Honestly though, I'm not all that bothered. I quite dislike late era uniques to beging with. Bit as I said, still possible. If Stalin is in the game (as he has in previous iterations) then possible as a part of his LUA.

It seems like the game is going down a path of introducing more leaders for the current civs in the future. With that being said there is certainly a possibility of future Unique Tanks.

As JuhQman has already mentioned we may end up with a Stalin leader for Russia, giving us the T34.

I've always wanted to see Katyusha rocket launcher as Russian UU - replacement of artillery which is much more mobile and deals more damage.
