Working for a better Civ Experience

Hello all I was hoping to see if you guys could help me out. I play Civ Warlords and I'm trying to find a way to really enjoy the game but have a hard time getting into my game experience with the rate I and the rest of the Civ's research techs. I would like to be able to wage war in all periods without the continuous jumps in tech. I've tried using the Epic and Marathon modes but with production taking longer than some techs, it totally kills the experience. Is there any way I can simply increase research times by like 5 fold for all techs? Is there a mod for Warlords that does this?
