:scan: Greetings :scan:

I am currently finishing an scenario that is about Japan in the near future, with a civil war between feudal families, or rather family companies. I am fine-tuning it now, but there still are several things I need help for. I hope anyone can help me.

- My world map is 'round' instead of 'flat' in the game, but it was flat in the
map editor. I want t know how I can edit this in the game.

- I want to involve events when cities are taken, but when I use the names
of the city in the event editor, the editor says that the city does not exist.
When I say he must use the names anyway, the game crashes.

- I know that there is a way that a city won't loss its population when a
defending unit is destroyed. I like to know how I can do that, because some
small cities are quite important (wonders) and there also isn't a way to
build new cities.

Now I will explane my scenario for those who are interested.

The game starts summer 2011. In that time, an unhappy group of people killed the emperor's family and a big part of the ministers in the town of Nikko. Seven of the most powerfull families take power, and all they control 20 cities (or part of cities). The lack of militairy, wealth and technology due to the Atlantic War (from 2006 to 2011) let the factions begin under the line of militairy tech, but later on military comes to modern arms, and beyond.
In the beginning the families can only build refugees, armed civilians and authentic jonks. later on siege helicopters, tank, howitsers, battleships and war robots.

Also new wonders (like Emperial graves, Sony and the Aug. '45 memorial in Hiroshima) are included and improvements are edited.
Also there are new terrain types; urban, harbour, highland forest and ricefield. there is no agriculture and mining, instead the new terrain proves enough food and shield. Instead of road and rail there are Highways and Shinkansen Rail, which is the Japanese HighSpeed train ('bullettrain'). All roads and rails are placed as autheticly as the game and the map could provide, just like the new terrains.
The map I used is the one from the Feudal Japan Scenario, and the cities are just like their urban background, so city and surrounding intergrade into one.
I wil get some screenshot when I can.

But Please.... can anybody help me?

The only way I know of is using Carl Fritz' small utility Civtweak, which you can get from the downloads section of this site.

Hmmm... not sure about this. If you feel comfortable with it, I would do the events exclusively in notepad, using someone else's events.txt as a template, as I don't have much faith in the ingame editors. But beware, its an area fraught with peril...

Build city walls! :D -and make them cheap, so they won't be sold off, and easy to rebuild, when destroyed. -alternatively use the great wall wonder, but this will work only for one tribe.

Good luck :)
