Hi all,

Dont know if this has been asked before, but I have a weird prob regarding graphics when on the world view.

Specs are as follows:
AMD 2600+ (@2ghz)
1GIG DDR 333 RAM
80GIG + 40GIG HD
Nvidia 6600GT
Onboard ac97 sound

You can find a screen shot in the attachment!

Yes, this has been mentioned before. I think it's a bug that could be fixed with the patch.

How large is your map?

cheers mate. Playing a large map atm, but the prob was on my previous games on standard maps.

The weird thing is, it doesn't happen ALL the time, sometimes its fine. However, it tends to happen more often though.

Go into your graphics settings and adjust the anti-aliasing. This seems to fix the problem, but only for a short time

I have the same problem. After I had explored most of the world however the globe view was perfect! Don't know if this is incidental but try to see what happens when you have explored most of the oceans.

It's a problem with the latest Nvidia drivers (81.85), does it with my 6800GT too. If you downgrade to 78.01 (or whatever they are), then it goes away.

I agree with Zevus -- I have a NVidia 6800 Go -- started at version 78.11 and everything worked beautifully. Tried upgrading to one of the 80 series (82.10) and got exactly the problem you've shown above. Went back to 78.11, and everything was back to beautiful. :)

(If it helps, this is a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop)

I got the bug with the new drivers too. I hope they get that patch out soon!
I also get the map error on the minimap as well, which makes expansion pretty difficult :P
