JFD's The World According to Modders

I can't help but think Nebby is insane after all the times he nuked his own cities to try and stop me from invading him. :p
What do you expect from the guy who says "Are you real or just a phantom of my tortured senses?"

(Actually, looking at the dialog in Civ5_Dialog_Nebuchadnezzar.xml... yep, he seems pretty far gone to me :p)

What if he mean Yukari the train station? :D
No, he means Yukari Tanizaki, surely. :crazyeye:

It's clearly Yukari Yakumo. /s

Goddamnit, you people.

If you have scrofula I'm not going in the same room as you, let alone actually touch you!

See? See? That's proof that whoward isn't the true god!

MORE PROOF: I went to a Pick'n'Mix yesterday and they didn't have a SINGLE liquorice coin! If that doesn't seal it, I don't know what will!

Nebuchadnezzarism confirmed

Oh, my old project is doing something! This is the first time I've been on Civfanatics for about a year, and this is the first thing I see.

Homusubi's Unique Civ

Unique Ability; Shinnichi: Can build uniques from civs that you've signed a Declaration of Friendship with. Units that usually require Iron do not need this resource.

2 Uniques (any combination; usually from across your mods, but they don't have to be - if they're not, however, you'll want to provide the art): Dojo from Rising Sun's Takeda, Tenmonkan from Rising Sun's Shimazu.

Map: I'll do one later on when I have more time.

Leaderscene (Standard, Hostile): The Shimazu leaderscene from Rising Sun.

Leader Icon: See above.

Civ Icon: I have one in mind, but I'll have to make it and I don't have time to do so right now.

City List: Ikiru, Entenchi, Kinzura, Nayoro, Haeshin, Mabakama, Shin-Iwama, Yachiyo, Kotegaeshi, after that anything that sounds Japanese.

Spy List: I'll come up with one later.

Colony List: What? This is in Civ 5?!

PM List: If that's Prime Minister, then Aso Hikansha, Hakure Komagane, Marutei Tsurunen, Yasuo Tanaka, Gaiden Saeki...

Civilopedias: Way too long.

Peace and War Theme: Peace theme: instrumental Princess Mononoke theme. War theme: The Internationale, with Japanese lyrics.
Generic Flavours: Will do later.

Unique Flavours for Mercenaries, Religious Intolerance, Left-Center-Right Preferences (Government, Economic, Industry, Religion, Military, Culture, Foreign): Not many mercenaries. High religious intolerance. Left wing for all six categories.

Unique Cultural Influence text: the same as the Japanese one (if by this you mean "Our people are wearing your kimonos..." etc.)

Religion Preference: Atheism, or if it's not in, then Shinto.

Government Preference: Shogunate or constitutional leftist monarchy.

Legislature Name: Kasumi Council.

PM Office Title: Kyosan Shogun.

Political Parties: Bakufu no To, Ikiru Kyosanto, Tairiku Musubi, Yuukippu, Sakajinto.

Cultural Type: East Asian.

Ethnic Units type: East Asian.

Map Labels type: I don't know what this is.

Colony List: What? This is in Civ 5?!

Yes, it's part of JFD's CiD.

Map Labels type: I don't know what this is.

The list of geographical names that will be used by default for the Dynamic Label Generator in hazel19's Map Labels - the possibilites being East Asian, Arabian, Mediterranean, Germanic, African, First Americans, British, Pacific Islander, Indian, Slavic, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Australian, Canadian, Mesoamerican, South American, Southeast Asian, US Western, US Southern, and US Northeast. (You can choose more than one of these, as well.)

In that case, use East Asian and Pacific Islander map labels please.

Can someone explain the other mod-specific things in that list?

PM List: If that's Prime Minister, then Aso Hikansha, Hakure Komagane, Marutei Tsurunen, Yasuo Tanaka, Gaiden Saeki...
You can have 25 specific Prime Ministers, I believe. JFD would have to let you know whether you have to supply all 25 if you want specific ones, since I know you can get a generic cultural list if you don't define any.

Government Preference: Shogunate or constitutional leftist monarchy.
Would Monarchy do?

Political Parties: Bakufu no To, Ikiru Kyosanto, Tairiku Musubi, Yuukippu, Sakajinto.
You can assign these to specific party types. There's the Nobility, Clergy, Burghers, Revolutionaries, Liberals, Conservatives, Socialists, Communists, Fascists, Libertarians and Reactionaries.

Ethnic Units type: East Asian.
Ethnic Units actually gives each vanilla civ their own set of units. So you can pick Japanese if you want.

Cultural Type: East Asian.
I believe Oriental will be the closest to what you want. I would assume you would be happy with the specific Japanese soundtrack from the extra soundtrack part of Cultural Diversity?

Can someone explain the other mod-specific things in that list?
Okay, looking at the list, you didn't specify:

Civ IV Traits - exactly what it says on the tin. You can choose two of these like in Civ IV.

Events and Decisions - Sukritact's mod that gives, well, events and decisions. Each civilization in this is allowed two unique decisions. The OP's description says it best:
Decisions are a set of choices a nation can make if certain conditions are met. Each decision has consequences, which can be both positive and negative. A nation never has to take a decision it is always at the players discretion whether to accept a decision or not. Some decisions are nation specific, some are religion specific and some are more generic.

Wish for the World - Vice Virtuoso's semi-conversion mod that adds elements from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. You can pick a specific name for the Magical Girl that spawns when you begin the game - this usually represents either the leader themselves if they're female, or their significant other, though you can choose anyone you wish (pun not intended) for it.

I'll answer these as best as I can. Thanks for the information!

PM's: I'll think of some more later.

Monarchy: Yes.

Political parties: Bakufu no To is Nobility, Ikiru Kyosanto is Socialists, Tairiku Musubi is Liberals, Yuukippu is Reactionaries, Sakajinto is Burghers.

Ethnic units: Japanese please! Anything I don't specify can be assumed to be the same as Japan (except leader specific stuff like DoM text)

Culture: Oriental is fine, thanks. That wiki article seems to suggest the existence of a Japanese subculture, so please put that in if possible. And yes, the Japanese soundtrack is definitely fine.

Traits: I think I'll go with Inventive and Seafaring. I never played Civ IV so I was initially confused, sorry.

Events and Decisions: I'll think of some later. I play EUIV so I understand what they are.

Wish for the World: Uh... my leader is homosexual, so I'm not sure what to do for this one!

It's great we've got such a supporting community to help Homusubi, but can't we also point out that they've just now risen from the grave?

Good to see you again, by the way ;)

I'm pretty sure JFD's Frederick the Great has a male magical 'Girl' included in the mod support, so there's a precedent for using a male.

As do Hapshetsut and Victoria, despite the fact that for vanilla's female leaders WftW just automatically goes with the leader herself.
