Most Epic Songs

What do you think are the most epic songs out there?

I'll start out with just one. Its got to be Carl Orff's "O Fortuna".

Lets see, Carl Orff, O Fortuna as always. Some of the latter songs (Estuans Interius, Circa Mea Pectora, and In Taberna Quando Summus. (I have the complete symphony and it is my favorite.)
Can you link to the version with the Engish translations? They help alot in making it more epic.
1812 overture is good, but for sheer awsomeness, it pales before some of these.

Gustav Holst's The Planets. Mars: The Bringer of War.

Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights is good, along with Montagues and Capuets. (I prefer Dance of the Knights)

It's not as dramatic as some others, but still epic.

And to round it off, Dvorak, The New World.

The beginning is where it's at with the trumpet along with the ending (skip to ~8 minutes.)

I would put Beethoven's 5th but everybody knows it.
Same with Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.

That's the best Rush you can think of? Don't be wrong, it's a great song, but it lacks the epicness of Xanadu, 2112, the Necromancer, and Cygnus X-1, among others.

Yeah, I don't listen to much of that kinda music. I like music like The Animals and The Beatles. Tom Sawyer is one I heard a couple times and like. (Aerosmith an exception)
