    Mountains=Useless?

    I semi-totally agree. eh. that's weird phrasing. I totally agree with what you mean, and your first sentence only when considering the part in brackets, but otherwise no. What I'm trying to say is - yes, I agree with you. anyhoo, I say anything with less than ~500 meters of prominence doesn't...

    Mountains=Useless?

    Well said. I completely agree. Mountains and deserts are supposed to be worthless. If they weren't, they'd be no different from hills and plains. Redundancy makes for an annoying game.

    Solution: The Globe in Civ V, a really spherical map with only hexagonal tiles!

    ah. that's a shame.. thanks for clearing things up though :D Then here's another question: is there any way to further reduce deformations of hexagons from what is shown in your pictures?

    We need the Canadians as a new Civ!

    mm. I haven't read too much into it but the Colony Civ idea sounds good to me. Maybe we'll get overseas territories breaking off to become their own things. Adding to that, maybe overseas conquered territories could fight for independence, get some good Imperialism & its effects in the game...

    Unit Stacking

    Dear god. I try to stop replying to you, but you simply won't let me stop. Almost like s*x. Do you know how to read? I've already stated my points on this; yes, there physically is enough room to fit any amount of matter in a finite space. Therefore, I'm agreeing with you, yes, a SoD is...

    Civ V Great Generals become P.O.W.

    I, also, very much like the concept.

    Inspiration from People's General

    IMO, your opinion sounds like fun. What with the weird scaling of tiles in civ and insane ranges that archers now have, your suggestion sounds pretty reasonable. But this mechanic, if applied word for word as said in your post, sounds incompatible with Civ; just because it worked in another...

    Unit Stacking

    @Noddahrassa: I'm starting to get annoyed at how you read only what you want to read, as opposed to the whole post. Here, i'll point it out for you. Here's the point I was making. I'll even bold it for you. In case you haven't noticed, the rest of the post was a joke I was cracking at your...

    Unit Stacking

    @Noddahrassa: please don't ignore the points i made in my posts before you reply to them. i specifically explained why, even when considering the issues you pointed out, 1UpT is more realistic than InfiniteUpT. I was going to write another reply when I realized the replies are already in there -...

    Unit Stacking

    mmm, yes, cuz there are tiles in real life. bet they overlapped as well, and when alexander (or napoleon) looked upon his army, he only saw one unit. to see the rest he had to click on the stack. also, i sincerely doubt they actually piled them into one bunch. makes for a pretty funny...

    Veteranancy and how it will effect gameplay.

    eh. good point aussie. forgot units don't necessarily die in civ 5. and i stand by my opinion that when i assume, i make an ass out of no one. btw <3 greenday.

    Modding?

    Yes, there already is a thread: DLC vs Modding. As for your fears, I'm not too worried because of a certain irony that would result from hiring a modder (Jon Shafer) to be the lead designer of a game, only to later restrict modding on that particular game. There is no real point in paying...

    DLC vs. Modding

    It would be very ironic if Firaxis decided to severely restrict modding even after having hired Jon Shafer (a modder) as the lead designer. Which is why I'm not too worried that paid DLC will cripple modding. Although the possibility is there, it's unlikely. I'm still kinda miffed about the...

    Unit Stacking

    eh. But then again, scale is pretty much crap in Civ to begin with.. @kiwitt: suspension of disbelief is a skill that can make life much more enjoyable.

    Unit Stacking

    That you can do. What you can't do in real life is mass a quantity of swordsmen large enough to create a neutron star into a single tile. Compared to being able to create a swordsman-neutron-star on a single tile, being limited to 1UpT is much more realistic. Also consider: what's to say a...

    One unit per tile?

    1UpT is much less unlogical (sic) than theoretically being able to create a neutron star out of swordsmen (i.e. SoD). Plus, it gives a significant boost to tactics as have been already discussed in numerous threads. I was put off by 1UpT at first, but the more I think about it the better it...
