Playing on Immortal no huts normal speed.
I settled one east to get three forests i can chop for the Great Lighthouse to wich i made a beeline. I got only three cities on the mainland but the islands in the back are nice too. So I can grab 11 cities by 1 AD.
I tech to Engeniering and Civil...
Played it on Imortal - 1900 ad Domination. It was all going well I got 6 citys, TGL. I fended off a Roman backstab and got a city out of it & took out Carthage with Cats/Elephants. And just when I though, I got this! 8 city Rome vassels to 10 city Arabia after they took just one city. Next turn...
It's very rarely useful once you are so far into the game that you have stacks. Early on when you are choking opponents by placing Archers on Hill/Forrest tiles it's more important.
Later on all the forrests are gone and the 25% from Hills don't do much.
It has a chance but it's not certain. Just like you, the AI can station troups in culture flit endagered cities to reduce the chance. Even if they have no troups there the chance is limited to 10(?)% or so. Also you cannot revolt a city that already is in revolt.
I've tried myself on this one. The Sumerians snatched my early northers setting spots but that was ok since i managed to settle all the way down to the horse side and get my 10 citys that way. With Justician Gilgamesh and me in Budism and Pikkels and Orange in Christianity, Orange keept falling...
Maybe you can chop in the colossus, so you get at least good gold out of your capitol. Otherwise give the corn to your second or third city. The rest will have to stay with your capitol. You wont have enough happiness. You also have two completly useless tiles low production and no river. So...
I'm still playing on this one. And yes I'll probably go with cavs or something. Its 1000 AD and I killed only one civ. The only time I have a chance beating is Thlypsis 1904. But I'm perfactly fine with that. Here and bunch of veterans playing and half a year ago I couldn't even beat prince. My...
1585 AD eh? That's a pretty impressive time to beat. On a short first attempt with low sea level I found myself semi isolated and aborted the game. I would love to see wether AAA played high or low sea level.
Round 2, Fight!
There's many ways to do that. For us to find out which one you are lacking in, you would have to provide us with a save. You could be missing out on researching techs that the AI doesn't prioritise, or you don't grab failgold from wonders wich you have the strategic resource to build. Maybe you...
Razing any city with less than 4 recouces? This is madness! :D I can come up with a hundred examples of a city with less recources, and no wonders that I wouldn't raze. This doesn't sound like quality advice. The only time you should raze cities that are not totaly junk / settled in the wrong...
Well i gave this one another chance and I finished a little bit earlier. 1922 ad.
It would seem that you need to micro your workers to the very end to build the right stuff and get a good finish date. I usually don't mirco in the late game. Also my medival warfare was horrible. I...
Man that's enough for hemispheres for now :D
Anyway I didn't quite beat TMITs time but I'm very happy with the result I got in the end. This game was almost exactly the same timing as last one. Only that my continent was smaller and I got a PA partner. So instead of having 45% on my own at 1500...
Nice time TMIT. I think I was on route to a 17th cent. finish date as well when this happened. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/7935/civerror.jpg
Needless to say that like a real noob I didn't set the autosave intervall to 1 turn, because I though well I've never had a crash to desktop in...
My Buffy doesn't have options. There's no options button as in Bug and Ctl+Alt+O does nothing. The normal Civ 4 options have no Buffy options. What do I have to do to get the options screen up and running?
I'm playing on Vista Sp2. Installed Bug as a mod. I am on first admin account.
