I meet a new civ, and they're immediately at war with me? ಠ_ಠ

That make sense, now that you explain it (Brazil declared on me earlier). Yeah, I've got the DOW's on myself several times. Very confusing.

I meet a new civ, and they're immediately at war with me? ಠ_ಠ

I meet a new civ, go through the usual niceties, click out of the diploscreen, and they're at war with me. What the hell gives? AND I suffer Warmonger penalties. Is this a bug, or something that I'm missing?

I miss the Civ 2 advisors

HAHA - Yes! They were very funny! I got the biggest kick out of them at the time.

    Civ6 UI Fix Requests

Hear, Hear! I spent longer than I would like to admit angerly clicking on the city name trying to rename it when I first started playing. I still do it now out of spite. Randomize the names, and let us rename them at our discretion. ಠ_ಠ

    Rotating camera

Thanks! I tried doing this, but for some reason couldn't seem to figure it out - the things it's telling me to look for weren't showing up in the "Find." I'll dig into it a little bit more later.

Holy horsehocky. Whaddya know. Now. It would be cool if it stayed where I put it instead of snapping back.

About The Graphics of Civ VI

You were right about the graphics settings - I had missed the Terrain Quality, which you can see on the inset in the screenshot below is now set to high. The rest of it is just a straight screenshot from the game - no "modded zoom levels." And, the game still looks like a cartoon. Which it...

About The Graphics of Civ VI

I think those images are fine for comparison, because they show what the two games looks like side by side. Below is an ingame screenshot I took just now, at game resolution. The colors and detail level appear to be about the same. There does not appear to be any change to the horses in the...

About The Graphics of Civ VI

Not trying to argue or focus on you specifically, but merely as a point of clarification from someone who does art (for games and other stuff), "cartoonish" art is typically characterized by lack of/simplification of detail (texture vs. no texture), bright primary-ish colors, simple...

About The Graphics of Civ VI

This has been the biggest buzz kill for me. I don't mean to rag on the game, as I've been playing Civ since the late 80's when it was a board game, and 6 is interesting and fun(ish) so far, but man, I gotta say, the whole cartoony angle with the artwork just ... meh. I was really, really hoping...

If there was third Civ5 expansion which features would you like the most?

I think you read a tad more into what I was posting than what I actually wrote. 1500 turns would be 15 leaders, give or take if we used the lifespan idea. Sort of went off the deep end here. I didn't say anything about elections in prehistoric society. I used the term "governor" for...

If there was third Civ5 expansion which features would you like the most?

I'm for separating the leader from the player. Leaders should have life times -- doesn't have to be realistic, per se, say something like 100 turn life span -- but eventually they'll should be replaced by death, elections, dismissal, appointment or assassination. This would also allow for a...

Is there a way the Barbarian encampments can spawn a city when you clear them? I'd really like to see that.

    Trade vessels and caravans.

I think that would be a viable option - establishing the trade route in diplo screen would make sense here, as you're moving actual cargo. Once the the route is established, I think it would make sense to be able to edit as needed - so, adding it additional waypoints at some point down the...

    Create-A-Unit Class

I think this can be done simply. Just use a base 10 point system that works into final cost for the unit. You have ten points which can be applied to traits, which in turn would create a trade off. For example, you have 10 points to split between the following: Attack Defense Ranged...

If there was third Civ5 expansion which features would you like the most?

Dynasties! :D Added to that, governor units that can rebel ("Fear will keep the local [colonies] in line.") More politics/diplomacy. Better trade system. More streamlined / ingame customizable civs. Start with a ton of civs, and bloodbath it to the finish line. More organic growth of...

I'd really like to be able to name tiles again. I miss that from Civ IV.

    Trade vessels and caravans.

Some cool ideas here. I've mixed feelings about the manually moving trade units - I agree that it could become cumbersome, but think that the option to have them automated like workers (which you can control manually if desired) is the no brainer answer. In this light, I just don't see it as...

    Civilization in space

It's an older game, and somewhat klunky, but check out Space Empires V. I did the art for it, and it can be a ton of fun. http://store.steampowered.com/app/1690/

    National Disasters

I don't know if those would qualify as "national" so much as regional. And, I'd be fine with something akin to that. There were a couple of mods in Civ IV that had this.
