July 13th, 1910. Miners in northern Danish Australia have struck what they believe to be an extraordinarily large vein of gold, which could be worth up to millions. Currently, Australian miners have sealed the area off amidst a rush of foreigners, city folk, and government officials to try and claim the gold mine.

Georgian bandits captured in cross-border raid
July 7th, 1910. After a series of raids over the course of the spring of 1910, the Georgian bandits known as the "New Cossacks" have harassed and tormented several Novgorodian border towns near the Georgian-Novgorod border. A detachment of Novgorod infantry, "the Daring Devils" 29th Infantry Regiment, was dispatched to the border. The New Cossack group attempted a cross-border raid and were captured; it is believed that they have large amounts of wealth (gotten via pillaging) squirreled away in the mountains and could serve as cassus belli against the Georgians.

Riga was sunk off the coast of Gotland earlier today. Though only two people were killed, over ten tons of valuable iron and steel were lost into the sea along with the
Riga. The captain claims that an armed warship, flying the German colours, was the one who fired on them, though the captain himself has a history of lying to government officials and, in the process of losing his ship and cargo, collected a large insurance policy of up to $10,000 reichmark.

He reported several highly classified things about the Berry government, most notably a secret plan to invade the North French Federation. An enormous merchant fleet of nearly 70 heavily-laden ships passed by Andalusian-controlled Lisbon in the middle of the night, hoping to avoid being spotted by the Andalusian coast guard. The enormous and lightly armed fleet attempted to flee, but several Muslim commerce raiders intercepted the ships and threatened to sink them if they did not come back to port in Lisbon. After all the wealth in the ships was counted, and the worth of trade goods estimated, it came close to nearly $5 billion reichmark.

A riot has broken out in northern Ireland, with several Catholics and Protestants already killed in the rioting. The governor has requested assistance from the Irish Army, and fears that if it is not taken care of, it could lead to a full-blown revolution.

A vast horde of pillaged gold and other artifacts has been discovered in a mountain in southern Afghanistan. It is believed to have been left there by a large Mongol war party, who then either could not return or were killed before they could return to gather it up. Several groups, including a Mongol corporation and the Afghani government, lay claim to the find, which has an estimated worth of 40 million reichmark.

It is believed that a famine is starting in Tibet, thanks to bandits closing many of the only routes of travel into the nation. The nation, high in the Himalayas, has immense difficulty growing any of its own food, and with winter coming, exports are needed. Force is beginning to look like the only answer.

A strategic victory has been won in Qing's latest campaign against the Xia, albeit at a tragic cost - nearly 30,000 Qing soldiers died, compared to only 20,000 Xia. Though the victory was of great importance strategically and tactically, it has forced the Qing to withdraw troops from guarding the Mongol border and restation them in southern China. It is unknown what the Mongol's response will be.

Though they lost, Xia casualties were close to 10,000 less than Qing, and the Qing have been forced to withdraw troops from the Mongol border - this Qing "victory" may prove to be a Xia victory!

A Kalmar ship has been accidentally sunk during a battle between a Korean warship and two pirate vessels. The Kalmar ship, the
Oslo, was unaware of the battle and wandered into the crossfire. Nearly 100 Kalmar sailors and 20 officers were killed, including the captain. The pirate vessels withdrew afterwards, seeing an opportunity to escape - a small Korean fishing vessel tracked them to a small, uninhabited Pacific island.

When local villagers entered, they discovered several primitive, roughly-hewn stone chairs, large piles of stone and gemstones, and a strange carving in the wall, depicting a short man scrubbing his impressive beard with a bar of what looked like soap.

A small party of Manipur cavalry chased down some Hindi bandits, charging across the border to do so. Though Hindustani officials are understandably upset about this violation of sovereignty, it appears no one - except the bandits - are worse for wear.

Officials in eastern Hindustan are relieved, as the infamous "Band of Buddhists" bandits have been captured, albeit by Manipuri cavalry. Hindustan security officials have moved in and seized their base camp and arrested any members not captured in the Manipuri raid. The only tic to the whole thing is that Manipur cavalry violated Hindi sovereignty during the raid, crossing the border without permission.

Extremists capture Christian cargo ship in the Gulf of Persia. The group, the "Sons of Allah," apparently attacked the ship thanks to rumors that a sailor aboard the ship had raped a high-ranking Muslim woman while docked in an Omani port. Seven sailors and five Sons were killed during the attack before Persian security forces could defuse the situation.

A successful diplomatic action with the Judean ambassador has allowed Omani trade and arms to pass through the Sinai peninsula, whereas it was blocked before thanks to heavy-handed German influence. Though the Germans may still veto this action, it is definitely a step forward to peace and stability in the Middle East.

Thanks to heavy pressure from the Omani government, and the lack of German interest in the Middle East in the past few years, Judea has reluctantly agreed to open up the Sinai isthmus to Egyptian-Omani trade. NAC security forces have taken a British merchant ship destined for a Sicilian port hostage, intending to steal its treasure. Little did they know that the ship had an armed escort a few knots behind; the BRS (British Republic Ship)
Hind blew three Maghreb warships out of the water, before the merchant ship managed to escape. Several British warships are now destined for the Barbary Coast, and nearly 1,700 Maghreb sailors lost their lives.

However, there is strong communist sentiment in the dominion, and though their forces are evenly matched, the nationalist militia has little public support and will require Polish Army aid to win.

A large Omani corporation has moved into Free Africa and begun hiring enormous amounts of labor, building several complexes across the nation. The sudden mass drop in unemployment is seriously aiding the African economy, and it is anticipated that the Omani corporation will continue to be an important factor in the African economy for a long time.

Due to the military actions of Vestkysten and Amerika, Jutland is without a government, troops, or money. As of such, foreign nations - such as Canada and Aztlan - enjoy a certain amount of free reign in Jutland, carving out small spheres of influence. After a particularly nasty Vestkysten-Amerikan battle near the Canadian border, a detachment of Canadian Mounted Forces were dispatched to protect - and expand Canadian influence over - a large town near the Amerikan border. Not realizing that it was garrisoned by Amerikan troops, the Canadians moved in - only to be slaughtered by an Amerikan Heimlich Machine Gun. The entire incident has left three Amerikans and thirty Canadians dead.
Vestkysten rolls a 2!

In a large battle near the Canadian border, in New Jutland, an entire Vestkysten army has been surrounded and wiped out by Amerikan forces. Though they fought valiantly and inflicted severe casualties on the Amerikans, the Vestksystens were forced, eventually, to give in and surrender. Nearly a sixth of the Vestkysten army has been wiped out.

In a strategically stunning move, General Adolf Adler of the Amerikan Second Army surrounded and destroyed approximately 1/6th of the entire Vestkysten army in what historians are calling "The Battle of the Wilderness." The general used natural landmarks and excellent communication to surround, siege, and starve out the Vestkysten army. It is a stunning victory for the Amerikans in this war.

Private mercenaries, working for an Aztlan corporation that exploits large amounts of people and land in New Jutland, have recently gotten into a fight with a large group of militia who have decided to throw off the oppressive corporation. The corporation has been removed from most of its territory in New Jutland by the People's Militia, as they have taken to calling themselves, dealing a minor blow to the Aztlani economy.
