End of Turn 14
Start of Turn 15
Battle of Icea
Things are getting more and more dire in the north. After failing to storm the capital city, Lanun armies appeared content to just siege it and wait for reinforcements. Adepts used spells to turn roads to mud and supply lines were blockaded. Reinforcements soon came in form of Mercenary bands, called Brave Brothers. Kuriotate expected Balseraph reinforcements, but they got routed by Lanun ships and then got busy in their homelands.
Avelorn militia pushed Lanun away from Avelron, and Lanun mercenaries that tried to storm the city again had to pull west to keep their flank instead. Lanun ended up rounding up Kwythelhelar. Khazad also moved there. Hippus went to surround Naggarond.
A great battle ensued, with fierce Kuriotate resistance. Battle of Icea was fought by Kuriotate militia, adepts and centaurs on one side and allied Horsemen, bears, militia, paramanders and mercenaries on other side, led by Cardith Lorda himself.
Kuriotates were desperate to prevent enemies from crossing Icea, and after long and bloody battle, despite heavy loses, enemies did not cross the Icea. Fire magic of Kurotates helped a lot, and Hippus raiders finally had a decent opposition in the form of Centaurs who banded together to defend their homelands, although lack of Horseback riding meant lack of mounted tactics.
But no one did cross. This was first battle that could be called a victory for the Kuriotates, as enemies made little progress and destiny of the nation was to be decided within next few weeks.
On south, Kurotate hunters harassed inside Darkwoods, and Hippus made a massive counterattack to reclaim lands near Naggarond.

Lanun pillage everything!
Lanun leader ordered a mindless, pirate pillage of eveything that they could get their hands upon. Every house, cottage and mansion they found was thoroughly pillaged, robbed and then burned. Entire villages were set on fire. People that resisted were put to sword, others were shipped to slavery. Such brutality was unseen from the Grindstone massacre, but this time it was much more widespread, due to simply much denser population of Kuriotate, and fact that Kuriotates were not Orcs but Humans made this even more tragic. Erebus is shocked by this atrocity, while Lanun enjoy profit from pillaging and slave trade. Kuriotates are certain that same will be done to their capitol, so many more men enlist in army.

Kuriotates: Lose village in Kwythelhelar

Lanun establish Coastal Guard
Lanun passed a new law that obliges all captains and their ships to serve part of their time in royal service, to use their ships to scout the seasand serve as sea watch. This was met with resistance at first, seeing this as an intrusion to private liberty, but after announcing the generous pay, this was changed into joy. In either case, Lanun get insight on all naval movements in their sphere of influence, and boost to naval combat efficiency.

Luchuirp taking sides
There was an increasing tension in Luchuirp empire concerning taking sides in the conflict on the west. Central authority in Ithralia was all out for an alliance with Hippus, but city states have their own authorities, and heated discussions begun. Tia'ran sided with central government, partially due to close promixty to Hippus, and stopped trading with Kuriotates in favor of Hippus, but Mutambo remained divided, and discussions degenerated into fistfight. Trouble is that Mutambo is, despite not being a capital city, a richest city state and earns as much gold as both Ithralia and Tia'ran together. Decision of Mutambo leadership is vital and there is already a movement to seek to change Mutambo to capital city.

Svartalfarl coming to a peace?
After Calabim invasion in holy forests, some hurried negotiations took peace, but while queens talked, soldiers fought. Calabim forces were retreating, but Summer court still attacked them and inflicted them loses.
Meanwhile Summer Court pushed north into barbarian territory, full of refugee slaves and light elves, who joined Svartalfarl. With wood golems, they defeated most of the wild Orc opposition. Next thing was a secret attack on the remote Svartalfarl colony near Khazad lands. Few hundreds light elves traveled east, even after Lanun refused assistance. They were aided by Balseraphs and their Blood Axes regiment. They took control of the territory, and squashed minor opposition.
Soon Queens negotiated peace. Few disputed points of foreign diplomacy were settled after Lydia managed to provide technologies to Luchuirp on her own, and Calabim question was still to be discussed. But fragile truce was signed.
Feelings were mixed. Some felt that Ljosalfarl got too much, some that they haven't gained enough. Those on east felt that they haven't gained enough, and declared independence. They ask for Khazad, Grigori or Balseraph protection and offer themselves as vassals.
Final document of peace is still not signed, but it appears that kingdom will be ruled by two Queens, and that Svartalfarl will still keep true authority. But until peace is trully signed, civil war can re-erupt in any second.

Bandit Nietz
A band of masked bandits appeared in Balseraph lands, preying on trade routes. Some people say that bandits have foreign sponsors, but also some say that bandits came from hell, but fear stuck in many a heart as their leader, Nietz, pillages and burns.
In either case, Nietz had a misfortune- Balseraph troops were sent to Avelorn by the sea, but were returned when Lanun ships intercepted Balseraphs. This large-scale foreign incident was unfortunate for Nietz as this troops soon returned to their homelands and stumbled upon bandits. Bandits had no option but to flee north to Malakia Sands, and from there they continue to plot and scheme, but traders are safe for now.

A new Juggernaut
Resting peacefully in the South, untouched, a new world power rises and takes her place in Erebus history. Amurites, who until recently lied in ruins, are growing stronger each day. As Order's mandate comes to an end, and new election campaign draws closer, many who feared that Order's rule will bring stagnation see that they were wrong- Amurites growth is not hindered. Their income is almost three times as big as it was during the Interregnum, and Order continued this trend of growth. Priesthood was being established, Order religion spreads and plans to restrict religious freedom are still heavily debated but opposition manages to rebuff such laws every time. And Order also invested in trade after heavy investment in military navy, traders felt protected and southern trade fleet could be established, with great Senate financial support. Those new trade ships bring even more income to the Amurites.
Will Amurites remain in peace for a long? While both Order and traditionalists League of Sunrise remain careful about this question, for Mithril Guard is only question 'when?'. Popular support for easy expanison is growing, as citizens seem to easily forget the disasters of war...
Amurties: New trade route from Trade Fleet project
Amurite Traders protests Arms Trade ban
Amurite merchants and smiths protest the new law that disallows free trade of weapons in foreign lands. As one weaponsmith said, "It's everyone's basic right to own a sword, and I craft them. I studied my whole life to do that, and became one of few skilled smiths in Amurite Republic. Now I can't sell it anymore? What is that nonsense?"
While it is clearly intended to prevent escalation of conflicts in Svartalfarl lands, it does mean that merchants are unhappy and many smiths already went bankrupt for being unable to sell weapons they were made to craft.
Fortunately minister Cassel foresaw this so he bought them for government's armories, preventing much harsher economic consequences.

Calabim troubles
While Calabim army returns from east, from an expedition that can hardly be called a victory, tales of victory DO spread in Prespur. A heavy propaganda machine does work, after all, and peasants are in awe of victory.
This was suddenly interrupted after most dire Amurite action. Group of adventures, supported by Amurites and Order priesthood, entered in Calabim feeding pits in an attempt to rescue Empyrean priests. They used divination magic and visions of Junil's angels to decieve guards, and to lead inmates to freedom.
What was seen in these pits was shocking even for hardened adventurers. State of inmates was terrible, many were having open wounds, and were so underfed that they were little more than walking skeletons. Many were diseased, blind, many had missing body parts, and there were even reports of pairs of people sewn together with tailor's rope. Escape via sea route was soon seen as impossible, as those men could never leave city. Still, sight of those men on city plaza was shocking and many citizens started to question what happens in their kingdom could they all really be criminals, and what did they do to get such a treatment? City watch soon slayed all those who escaped the pits, and two of the infiltrators committed suicide rather than being caught by Calabim, the rest of infiltrators fled.
In Cevedes, even people who organized this were shocked. Mithril Guard was again the loudest and called for an action, and even Order majority agreed with them. Many are so shocked with this report that they believe it to be untrue.

Gold found in Balseraph lands!
A new gold deposit was found in big desolate island east of much more famous, but smaller Raven Rock. Many gold miners already went to start the mining and gold fever is overrunning the Balseraph empire.

Pirates raiding shores
Pirates, not pledging allegiance to any nation, were stumbled upon by Lanun Coastal Guard, in the seas of Trident and Central sea. They fled from the Lanun fleets but are ready to return again... They could have foreign support, but not necessarily... No victims were reported, yet
