Damn the man is amusing, wanting to replace a bust of Lincoln with a real American.
Now after his trip to London to meet all those pure Anglo Saxons that went so well he will be ordering Cameron to send the British owned bust of Churchill to the White House if he wins.
I have a suspicion that Cameron's reply will be short, with the second word being off.

I hope Romney wins. Then the churchill bust will be returned to its rightful place. Hopefully the americans will have the sense to throw out the Briton-hater.

Romney is a secret Loyalist that will surrender America to the English the moment he becomes president.

I just did a search and found not one single news article quoting Romney "ordering" Cameron to do any such thing. He speaks of his desire to have the bust back in the White House as a testament to the greatness of Churchill, but that's about it. No ordering, at all.

If anything, PM Cameron should look upon his comments as a compliment to one of the UK's greatest leaders and an indication that under Romney, our special relationship will indeed be much closer than it has been under Obama.

You conservative Americans can be strange, you argue that the British aristocracy is very wrong with their titles yet make a bloke who was born into the aristocracy an honourary American.
The bust will be returned if Romney orders it ? you will find it is up to Cameron.

Again with the "ordering". Can you back that up, pretty please? Also, unless he's immigrated recently, I am fairly certain Quackers is quite British.

As V pointed out I'm a Briton.
I don't see how having a bust of Churchill in the oval office consistutes making him an "american". Even if Churchill's ghost came back he would have a rather good claim anyway considering his mother was an american.
Well the bust was removed from the oval office by Obama. The oval office was it's home for decades - currently its in the British embassy in D.C. I'm certain if Romney requests for it back it will be given happily.

Well yes Romney did manage to make the Brits speak in one voice, who invited this idiot to Britain.
Romney's security trying to stop camera men filming a anti-Mormon demonstration, that was clever.

Well, he has my vote now.

You are wrong, the bust in the oval office was loaned by the British to the Bush regime, there is another bust of Churchill in the White House that has been there for decades.
Churchill was made a American citizen, they overlooked the fact he was born in a palace.
Churchill's mother, well the Churchills needed money so no surprise Churchill's father married a American heiress.

Ahh, we lent it to the Americans after 9/11. We said to Obama keep it for your administraition he said no. So, yeah Obama made his attitude towards Britain clear then.

Maybe he made his knowledge of British history clear. Perhaps Cameron could take a refresher course from him.

Nope Cutlass, it's an obvious deliberate snub. We don't like you Britain, special relationship? Good allies? No, we don't think so. It has been a big plank of Obama's foriegn policy. Brilliant allies like Britain are shunted to the back. Obama courts Germany and eastern Asia whilst flying to the Middle East praising the Muslim world. Yet if you stood with America through thick and thin all you get is a slap in the face.
