unit is game tested

a Spy, sort of as requested for the SteamPunk mod by Blue Monkey and Balthasar, I hope it looks how it should

previews (better speeds ingame):

(default - fortify - attack x2 - victory - fortify - attack - death - run)

Long overdue, I know, but anyway, I hope it's good enough to go into the mod.

Made the flash not as big, and not as yellow. seemed more appropriate.. I can't make smoke :p

the cowboy, as requested in this thread, is found HERE

anyway, enjoy

And out of NOWHERE comes ruby_sauce!

You know, he looks almost like a cowboy...

How hard would it be to dress him up as a cowboy? The animations wouldn't need to be changed at all...

Great unit.

Cool, me likey!

Wow that's a superb (and unique, as usual) unit! And I second the grumpy Goldflash, as any cowboys would be much appreciated.

I like to think Im good with animations.. but I suck at making models >.>

but the Idea isnt bad, I will definitly see what I can do. But I can't promise anything :p

I don't think you'd have to do much. A white (Civ color?) shirt, a black vest, some chaps... Maybe Change the color of the guns from brown to sliver/grey/gunmetal/black.

The spy looks great! Glad you surprised us by popping up with this!

Damn! I was right in the middle of writing an ode to this new unit when my internet went down (something about paying the bill...) and now it's late so you won't get me to wax poetic about your beautiful unit in quite the same way...

But anyway, thank you very much for the spy unit. We will definitely use it.

Interesting that there is so much interest in this as an old west unit. I guess you nailed the era exactly. It's no secret that I've got an Old West WIP on my desktop, it appears that I'm not alone. They're not incompatible with a Steampunk Scenario, either; Balam-Agab, for instance, has been working on an Annie Oakley sharpshooter unit for us.
