How to save scenario parameters into a scenario? It's not working for me at the moment.

Great to know your still kicking, Mike. Just set the parameters, then save as scenario.

It doesn't seem to take - do I need to start the scenario and save that game as well?

This used to happen with ruler's names, too.

I save as scenario first. After restoring the shields of the first civ to 0, I save the game, and make all future modifications from the save game. It keeps it as clean as possible.

Eventually I stumbled across the right order. Would anyone care to test the Roman Britain scenario? For FW since I felt it best to ease into things.

I forgot how much fun making scenarios was....

The scenario parameters are appended to the game file after it's saved as a scenario, so they are only ever stored in SCN files or SAV files derived from them. They won't 'stick' in a regular/vanilla SAV file.

You don't need to do that. You can change the file extension from SCN to SAV and resume work on the new 'SAV' file. This method doesn't advance the active player by 1 turn.
