The only suggested location for the Universal Suffrage in line with the 'limited wonders' poilicy was Osgiliath. Alternate suggestions of En'Gha or Corrino will need to override to be selected. Discussion is in the Wonder Discussion thread.

Preliminary results will be used for this turnchat. I will request conditional build queues from the governor for this. I will include in my instructions the results after 24 hours. The final results will be used for turn chat #3 if the results change.

Do not build it. As long as the people wish to handicap things even more in our favor, I will be the sole voice of keeping things interesting.

this is one wonder that is too powerful for our dg....
if we are always gonn have people pushing for war, we dont want to make the game easy because we dont receive much war weariness
if the people want war, then give them the war weariness that comes with it

Actually, I'm going to have to fight off my innate love of Wonders and vote No on this one. I don't want anything that will make it easier for our nation to go to war. We're bloodthirsty enough as it is.

I agree with Ashburnham, as a Democracy or Republic, we need to make fighting wars harder, yet more interesting with a small, specialized and professional army.
Plus, universal suffrage is very Un-Japanatican, we are not allowing Zulu, Roman, Babylonian or Iroquois workers to vote, and they live in small reservations controlled by our small military police forces. Where we can deliver food, medical assistance and basic agriculture machinery to develop their effective delivery of cheap primary sector agrobiz production, timber and raw ore, and let industrial Japanatica produce wealth for our nation only, and give these trrinkets. In reality, I think universal suffrage is a good thing, in game (Roleplay), Provolution has been frightened of giving more women the right to vote, and we minimize the risk by having the nobility (Chieftess and Furiey) as honorary citizens and nobility of Japanatica, but keep it there.
I visusalize Japanatica as a Constitutional Democary, or an Oligarhic Republic with some nobility. Universal Suffrage, TA TA? :) That everybody should let the nobility suffer, no way!

I happen to imagine Japanatica in the same way, Pro. Let us not dilute our power by allowing more people the voting rights we already possess. ;)

Preliminary results of 4 for Osgiliath, 3 or Corrino or En'Gha, 9 Don't build, 1 abstain will be currently interpreted as allowing Osgiliath to use Palace as a pre-build for a Factory if Governor TimBentley wishes. I don't see (or approve) of any other use of the Palace pre-build this TC.

Final results will apply to turn chat #3.

This one is just too close still. If no one else votes by 9:24 am then I am changing my vote from Osgiliath to Don't Build (primarily because I don't want to repeat this discussion and polling over and over when it seems evenly split).

If the votes stand as they are now then we will not be building this wonder.

Including my above vote change before the poll close, the final results are that we will not build US. Any change in this will be the result of further discussion in the discussion thread and any future poll would need to override to succeed.

You know I find it ironic that we want to grant suffrage to everyone by building Universal Suffrage, yet we are in a system of government that is absolute (monarchy) and the people have no rights.

Actually Blackheart,
We are not willing to grant suffrage to anyone. The people have decided that only the Elite of our nation should have any voice in government.

A Nation where men is men and women is women! The State has spoken.
