Hello!

Here is a little greenskin with a bow. It was a bit of a struggle to make, but I'm very happy with the result :)

Here are the files:
Hobgoblin Bowman

Here are previews of some animations and civilopedia pic

Amazingly good. You've come a long way from those giants. (I remember you saying it's horrible to animate and model humanoids with pov-ray. Wish I had a time machine so I could show the aaglo of 2003 what he'll be doing next year) ;)

You have now officially become a FACTORY. Congradulations!

awesome, I love it! but... are wolf riders on your to-do list at all?

Simply amazing! Weren't you just thinking about doing a bowman for the first time no more than 24 hours ago, and now *poof* you have a top-quality hobgoblin archer? Awesome unit!

aaglo, this unit is very nice (as usual). I wonder though how you made the bow. I've been trying to make a bow from scratch, and it hasn't gone so well.

I realize we use different programs, but we still build models essentially the same way, so any help would be appreciated. :)

Awesome archer. Might have to replace the orc crossbow in my mod with the Hobgoblin archer. It is much better looking. Nice work!

I think it's great how aaglo has gotten into the Chaos Dwarf spirit, churning out these great units like there's no tomorrow. It's like he's working away this hard to keep his chaos dwarf masters' whips at bay ;)

This unit is very nice! :) And again i think it could also be used as a Night Goblin...

I'm liking all these hobgobbos! :D
Class.

He's awesome :D

@TLC

Are the differences really so big that they warrant a remake of the unit? I know I have very little knowledge of WH, but to me the two races look very similar to each other. At civ-scale I'd say either one would pass for the other.

Personally all I can say is what does it matter? A night goblin unit would add absolutely nothing to the WH mod, and if anyone wants to use it in anothe mod, then it doesn't matter that it doesn't look exactly like a night goblin then, does it? I would have suggested aaglo make the clothing somewhat brighter, as hobgoblins are usually painted in vibrant colour schemes. But it doesn't matter to me.

Brighter? I thought that the hobgoblins (in WH) wear almost black clothes... At least they seem to do so in most of the models I've seen. Well, you should have said something earlier - it's too late now :p

Night Goblins are smaller than Hobgoblins, and pretty much invariably wear black. Hobgoblins tend to the bright "Asiatic" light armour seen in Xen's pictures in Yoda's "Chaos Dwarfs and Hobgoblins thread" in general C&C.

Well I no little about Night Goblins as compared to Hobgoblins but I do know a damn nice unit when I see one.

Great Job Aaglo!!! :goodjob:

So, the sneaky gits are either:
- night goblins, or
- wearing black to be able to carry out stealt missions better?

Well, I thought they were hobgoblins, and thus I thought that it was the clothing they like to use :D
