After 20+ CTDs in one afternoon, and trying multiple settings in the ini-file. I found the following setting in that file:
; Create a dump file if the application crashes
GenerateCrashDumps = %
I set it to 1 and played the game until the next crash (5min into the game). It generated a crash dump in the windows temp folder ("C:\Documents and Settings\%USER_NAME%\Local Settings\Temp").
After analyzing the file with the "debugging tools for windows" I found the crash was caused by "CvGameCoreDLL!CvUnit::isFighting".
Well and that is where it ends for me.
I hope someone at Firaxis looks at these forums and reads this thread. I've attached a "dxdiag report" and the crashdump analysis (the crashdump itself is a bit large 90MB zipped, contact me if you want it).
My computer specs are:
AMD64 3000+
1024 MB DDR
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT
Windows XP Pro
