I know you've all heard this 14 million times before, so sorry!
Ok so I had Harks patch installed before they released 1.52, and the severity of slowdowns had diminished greatly, although loading 95% of my saved games would lead to a crash.
After removing harks patch and re-installing Civ and applying the patch, the slowdowns make the game unplayable. On a large map, my game is slideshow after the first turn. Dude, WTH?

Also, if you recomend I update my bios or something like that, please understand Im not good with techinical things like that, i.e. i dont know whow to do it.
