This is a thread for people who want to practice Spanish here in OT (because it has become some sort of our internet house or any other reason). However, every post has to follow the following rules:
- The general rules of OT and CFC, of course.
- Every single post must be bilingual (Spanish and English). In order to make it look an Spanish-only thread (so people who is learning Spanish don't cheat and read the English version first) is strongly recommended to put the English verison in spoiler tags.
- In order to avoid posts full of corrections (which make, in fact, this thread unreadable) of previous posts, put please the corrections also in spoiler tags.
- If you want also start the thread of your own language, ASK THE MODS FIRST.

Spoiler :
Welcome to Español 101, the place of OT where you'll be able to speak in Spanish (or Castilian, call it as you want) and that has been made at the image and likeness of its immediat predecessor, Deutsch 101. I hope we talk about whatever and have a good time meanwhile, besides learning new things from the Spanish-speaking countries for those who are learning it as a foreign language. But don't worry, in Español 101 you'll be in good hands, since I've the title of professional corrector (advantages of working as a translator). But I tell you that I speak european Spanish, so it's probable that I put my foot in it when it comes to correct texts with words of the american dialects. What we're going to do about it? No one is perfect
Now, let's stop that welcome idle talk and get to the point. The topic I want propose has to do with this thread. Like all native speakers know, Spanish has more tendency to insult than, e.g., English. These are usually empty insults, with no offensive meaning at all. However, this may be a problem here, where the majority of readers are English-speakers and they're more sensitive than us when it comes to insult. So I ask you: What do we do? Do we remove these empty insults even though that would mean a denaturalization of language or do we keep them and we better get ready for the moderator fury of Eran of Arcadia?
