Commonwealth of Australia - Sir Henry Parkes

In this mod you'll play as Henry Parkes - the father of Australian Federation and owner of quite frankly, a ravishing beard. His facial hair alone should be enough to warrant his inclusion in the base game!

Digger Infantry - Australia's unique Great War Infantry, the Digger Infantry performs exceptionally in desert combat (Desert Warrior Promotion - 50% Combat in Desert), gains a 15% combat bonus in foreign lands and can quickly be recruited from your Workers in times of need. The Digger Infantry does not obsolete at Plastics and can upgrade into Mech Infantry

Prime Minister - Australia's unique Great Writer, the Prime Minister will supply you with political quotes as Great Works that only Australia can produce. In addition, their mere rise to power will be enough to trigger a Golden Age!

Dominion of Canada - Lester B. Pearson

In this mod you'll play as Lester B. Pearson - war veteran, Nobel Peace Prize winner, respected leader and diplomatic superhero!

Keepers of the Peace - Mounted Units can temporarily claim neutral land and generate +2 Happiness if garrisoned. Upon declaring friendship, Canada and their friend gain +1 Delegate to the World Congress.

Voyageur - Unlike the Great Merchant which it replaces, Voyageurs are capable of creating Fur resources, which you can trade to your allies or to make more allies. They can also work as Caravans. If you have reached your maximum number of trade routes, the Voyageur will allow you to exceed it. Cannot conduct trade missions or build Customs Houses.

Garrison Artillery - Canada's unique Cannon that can build forts. Upon entering in a fort, or citadel, the Garrison Artillery gains the "On Guard for Thee!" promotion which allows it to deal double damage.

In this mod you'll play as Benito Juárez - The Mexican president of Zapotec origin who not only resisted the French occupation of Mexico, but overthrew the Second Mexican Empire, restored the Republic and modernized the country. Dude was legit

Valiants of Chapultepec - Walls generate points towards Great Artists in the Capital and gain a free Great Work of Art slot. When this slot is filled, trained units in the city start with in additional +15 XP. Walls generate Great Artist points faster after adopting an Ideology.

Rurales - When garrisoned the Rurales generate +3 Culture and earn +15% combat strength unlike the Rifleman which it replaces. The combat bonus stays with upgrades. (Art by Janboruta)

Hacienda - Unlocked at Guilds. The Hacienda is a special type of estate of Colonial Spanish origin. Haciendas do not yield any benefits unless built directly adjacent to a city. They provide +2 Culture. Upon the discovery of Economics +1 Food/ Faith/ Production is added to the tile and another +1 of that random yield is added after Rifling is discovered.

Republic of The Philippines - Rizal
The Philippines

In this you mod you'll play as Jose Rizal, a well respected novelist, poet, advocate for nationalism, revolutionary and a doctor! Despite never leading the country, he is considered the greatest National Hero in Filipino history. A contemporary of Gandhi, Rizal advocated liberty through peaceful means rather than by violent revolution. In the end he was executed by Spanish authorities, captured en route to help victims of Yellow River fever in Cuba. Several titles were bestowed on him: "the First Filipino", "Greatest Man of the Brown Race", amongst others. Pretty inspirational person, yo.

Pearl of the Orient Seas - Upon signing Open Borders, both Civilizations receive a Cargo Ship. Foreign Units within your borders provide Culture.

Katipunero - Rifleman replacement. Has an additional movement point when within friendly territory and gains a +25% attack bonus after adopting an ideology (abilities stay on upgrade).

Coral Church - Alongside the Harbor benefits, the Coral Church Provides +2 Faith and a +5% Food Growth bonus for each sea resource worked in this city unlike the Harbour that it replaces.

Empire of Vietnam - Trung Sisters

In this you mod you'll play as the mighty Trung Sisters, heroines of Vietnam. Although ultimately you fell to the army of the Han invaders, though it took an army of one hundred thousand men to slay two women.

The Ascending Dragon - Defensive structures within a city increases the spawn rate of Great Writers, Artists and Musicians. Receive +5% Culture and +5% Food in each city for each Social Policy adopted in the Honor Tree.

Viet Cong - Gains Invisibility and Double Movement in Forests and Jungles, unlike the Infantry it replaces. However, it also has a combat penalty in open terrain.

Water Puppet Theater - Has one slot for a Great Work of Writing. More expensive than the Amphitheater that it replaces, as well as providing an additional point of Culture - Great Works contained within a city Water Puppet Theater increases a city's Defensive Strength by 5.

The Boer Republics - Paul Kruger

In this you mod you'll play as the astute and cunning Paul Kruger, leader of The Boers - a brave and expansive culture, seeking a land to call their own in the tribal wilderness of Southern Africa, in defiance of imperial aggression, and with disregard for native empires.

The Great Trek - +1 Movement for Workers, Settlers, and Great People, and Settlers may withdraw when attacked by a Melee unit . +25% Defense to any unit stationed on a Farm.

Commando - Unique Boer Gatling Gun. At the cost of lower strength, this unit is faster than the Gatling Gun it replaces and can move after attacking. Additionally, it is unlocked with the discovery of Rifling, as opposed to Industrialization, and upgrades into Great War Infantry instead of the Machine Gun.

Staatsmuseum - The Staatsmuseum is the Boer unique building. It contains 2 slots for Great Works of Art or Artifacts, and unlike the Museum it replaces, provides +2% Food Growth for every 2 Tourism produced by this city, to a maximum of 20%, as well as providing points towards the civilization's next Golden Age for every Farm worked by the city. Unlocked with the discovery of Industrialization as opposed to Archaeology.

Blackfoot Confederacy - Crowfoot

In this mod you'll play as Crowfoot, chief of the Blackfoot Indians! Born from within a time great of bloodshed, Crowfoot was a great warrior and gritty survivor, fighting more than a dozen great battles and overcoming many injuries. Yet he was most remembered for his contributions to the cause of peace.

Counting Coup - Your combat units gain experience whenever they begin a turn next to a hostile non-Barbarian unit, or on a tile containing Bison. All units that begin their turns on Bison in Blackfoot lands receive attrition damage.

Nato-oh Siskoom - +1 Faith. Requires no maintenance and is available earlier than the Shrine that it replaces. Building the Nato-oh Siskoom near to fresh water, especially river mouths, will give a burst of Faith.

Buffalo Pound. - Unlike the Water Mill it replaces, requires Plains instead of a River and gives +1 Food and +1 Production to sources of Bison worked by the city. Reveals a nearby source of Bison Available at Trapping instead of the Wheel.

The Dene - Thanadelthur

In this mod you'll play as Thanadelthur, the diplomatic Ex-Slave who forged peace between her people, the Cree and the Hudson's Bay Company! The Dene are a Musical people, with strong ties to Tundra, Faith and Music.

Soul of the Tundra - Shrines and Temples contain slots for Great Works of Music, and if built in the Capital or in a city working Tundra will provide additional Faith when filled. Holy Sites built in Tundra provide +1 Tourism.

Sacred Drummer: Unlike the Great Prophet which it replaces, the Sacred Drummer ignores terrain penalties. When the Sacred Drummer is born, it triggers a Prophet Dance, causing every city connected to the Capital to gain +25% Great Person Growth and +3 Happiness for 8 turns. Multiple births reset the length of a Prophet Dance.

Yellowknife Encampment: A Unique Improvement that only the Dene can build. Cannot be built adjacent to each other. Produces +1 Food, and +1 Faith. After Iron Working, adds an additional +1 Food and a source of Iron. After Metal Casting, it provides +1 Great Musician Points. Can only be built on Tundra and Metal Based Resources such as Iron, Aluminium, Gold, Silver and Copper.

The Inuit - Ekeuhnick

In this mod you'll play as Ekeuhnick of the Inuit - a legendary character whose story is shrouded in the ancient past. Under Ekeuhnick's guidance, his people not only survived the harsh, barren and frozen landscape, but also became the modern Inuit peoples, whose culture has lasted to this day.

The Inuit

Until the Ice Breaks: Gain Food from Snow, Tundra and Ice tiles outside workable city limits. Fish adjacent to Snow, Tundra and Ice tiles will turn into a Luxury Seals Resource and provides a Production boost when improved.

Unaaq: Unlike the Scout it replaces, the Unaaq is a slightly weaker one-hex ranged unit that weilds a harpoon. Additionally, Unaaq can move faster on snow and can embark before Optics. Once the Inuit have researched Sailing, the Unaaq can improve Sea Resources! The Unaaq are expended when used in this way.

Inuksuk: A Unique Improvement exculsive to the Inuit. The Inuksuk can only be built on Snow and Tundra and not next to each other. It Provides +1 Food and +1 Culture, with an Additional +1 Food coming after Banking. After building an Inuksuk, the surrounding Snow, Ice and Tundra without Forest tiles gain +1 Food and +1 Production. Additionally, the Inuksuk will randomly claim Snow Ice and Tundra tiles surrounding it, if not already claimed. Essentially, this allows you to build the Inuksuk far away from your cities and gain Food as specified in the UA without even having to work them!

This looks mega. I've been waiting for a half decent OzMod for an age. TBH I'm not to sure about the Prime Minister UU, it's A) a bit weird, and B) not exactly unique to Australia. Have you got any alternatives to it? An improvement might be better, Open Cut Mine that boosts resource yield, a billabong which adds freshwater to surrounding tiles?

UA seems a bit complicated, but it's a genius format. The problem with mod UAs is obviously the need for irritating additional buildings, but graduating them according to the civs development is a great idea.

Instructions for Manual Installation:

1. Download 7zip (it's freeware, and takes next to no time to install)
2. Download the Civ5Mod file found following the links in this thread.
3. Place the Civ5Mod in MyDocuments> MyGames> Sid Meiers Civilization 5> MODS
4. Right click the Civ5Mod file and select 7zip -> Extract to "[BNW] Colonialist Legacies - (insert civilization here)
5. Start the game up and hit Mods
6. Enable the mod
7. Play the game

Updated the OP with City-State replacements. Just realized that I have to do some more icons for the UU's themselves.

Changed PM Double Treatise to Starting a 10 Turn Golden Age upon expending. Need feedback for this aspect.

I've found someone to help me mod, but more help is always appreciated! Perhaps doing the music or any if the units would be very helpful though!

I'd also like to do some XML. I don't have any experience with the new things in BNW, but there shouldn't be too many changes (save for the Prime Minister, who, as a Great Writer replacement, is only present in BNW). I'm happy to help however I can, if you don't have enough help already.
Regardless, I support this mod and look forward to its completion. Perhaps you'd be willing to make versions for G&K and/or vanilla afterwards? I'd certainly like to be able to play it on my game.

So much progress is being made! An extra huge shoutout to Neirai and codefreak for helping out. Seriously invaluable.

Looking for someone to convert all the icons into the icon atlases and change around the alphas! Any help in that regard would be great.

As of now, here is what's done.

Canada Icon

I have an idea for the icon you use. I know you probably spent some work on the trillium icon, but as a Canadian, it seems a little foreign and not really reflective of Canadian nationalism. I'd suggest replace the gold trillium with just a white maple leaf. It would be very intuitive to a Canadian.

Canadian UUs are too good. Artillery with 2 attacks straight from the start is way too good. It's like an even better Chu-Ko-Nu which are mega OP but have a tiny bit of balance in that they turn into range 1 units. Artilleries turn into Rocket Artillery instead...

Extra trade routes from GM trade missions feels also bit too much too. The ability to generate a luxure resource is very cool though.

I have no idea about Australia since there's absolutely nothing like that in the whole game.

I want to express that Canada should be as defensive as possible. Note that the two attacks only works if the unit is in a fort, city or citadel. It still only has two moves as well - so the first time you set it up, you can only attack once. In that regard, it's not that OP. The wording is a bit iffy - I agree.

We'll also see via testing if creating extra trade routes is too over powered. As of now, I'm not against keeping it.

Regarding Australia, essentially look at it like a Tourism competitor to Brazil, as they are quite similar in certain ways (both have Modern era units based on world wars and have UAs and UUs that encourage culture, great works and golden ages).
