hotfix for 12/18 version

hello everybody,

it turns out the latest release still had a few kinks to work out, you can find a new build at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16988401/civ/CvGameCore_Expansion2.zip

this goes into the "community patch" folder, replacing the existing dll there. is savegame compatible.

fixed:
- pathfinder taking the shorter path when a longer path is faster
- inappropriate railroad production bonus in cities
- units with incorrect embark state
- no more cities on natural wonders
- ignored traits for unit promotions

edit Dec 21st:
- fixed stuck AI naval ops
- removed too-early railroad bonuses from harbors

edit Dec 27th:
- fixed ocean (im)passability for good (one hopes)
- fixed air interceptions
- fixed AI workers bunching up outside of owned territory
- tweaked AI road network (less star, more mesh topology)
- reworked embarkation
- small pathfinder fixes

edit Dec 28th:
- fixed a possible crash
- prevent relocating embarked units onto land (e.g. after peace deal)
- fixes for submarine
- embarked units can defend again (counted as civilians to be captured for a time)

Thanks for the hotfix ilteroi! :thumbsup: but sorry, the railroad production bonus bug stil there for saved and new games :sad:
 
Winged hussar's heavy charge is acting weird. Not sure if it's this version (haven't played a lot of poland) but here's some pics. Also, I've seen it push the enemy forward. I attacked with the hussar, then their unit moved where I attacked from. Pretty much just like switching hexes.

I think the promotions bug crept back in to one of the updates. I've been updating each time I see a new version, and some of the older units in my Washington game have the Sentry promotion while the newer ones do not.

Does anyone else have issues with UAs that grant promotions? Songhai, America, Iroquois, etc?
 
I have a new bug from the update - can't cross oceans! This is a game whereby Astronomy had been researched for a while. I'll put in the old version of the data and see what happens.
 
Kolaris Trait_FreePromotionUnitCombats is fixed in latest hotfix.
 
I know it was fixed. Units created earlier in my hotfixed 12/18 game have their promotions. But I saw the edit in the OP, downloaded again, and now newly created units lack their promotions again.

It could be that I'm crazy, just checking.

Not sure about continuing games but the table is hooking up in a new game just fine.

Are you guys using JFD's exploration continued expanded? I thought it was his mod that was doing it, because I added it at the same time as I installed this fixed DLL...

regarding ocean crossing, this is the logic:
- if the unit has a promotion preventing ocean crossing, no deal
- a sea unit needs a promotion explicitly allowing it or the player can cross in general (polynesia trait or astronomy)
- a land unit needs a promotion to allow deep water embarkation or the player can cross in general (polynesia trait or astronomy)

I just wanna repeat my point.
All land units gain the ability to cross the ocean after the discovery of Astronomy, as per normal. But later on in the game all land units lose this ability for no reason. Not sure what has it got to do with promotions. :think:
