Confirmation Vote - Deputy Governor

The Deputy Governor position has been vacant. The position was filled this morning by the appointment of Shaitan to Deputy Governor of the Province of Bohemia. This poll seeks confirmation of said appointment. This poll is time sensitive as Elections are upon us. Please vote.

This poll requires a simple majority to pass, in accordance to the Code of Laws, Section H, Paragraph 4.

This poll will stay open until quorum is reached.

Sorry, I'm voting no. Shaitan is over qualified for the position. This would be like having Strider (Fanatika's fastest jockey) appointed deputy stable cleaner. Luckily, elections are just around the corner and Shaitan can run for a leadership position that fits his qualifications.

I am inclined to agree with Donsig. Governor positions have traditionally been a prooving ground for new players, the depudy governor position is really not appropriate for a player as experienced as Shaitan, especially with a reliable governor like Cyc!! Is Shaitan going to learn anything from the experience? I think not! This position would be more usefully allocated to a newer citizen and if they are unreliable and bugger off then there is no problem, but they might just get a taste of the game and decide to stay!

I voted yes.

The Governor has a lot of responsibilities thrust on him due to the neglect of this office over the first 2/3 of this term. Shaitan can help.
