Brute Force (+33% CS vs Barbarians, lost with upgrade)

Proposal:

• Spearman gains the Brute Force promotion.
  • Brute Force also extended to Spearman UUs (Hoplite, Immortal, Pictish Warrior).

Rationale:

One of the criticisms about Bronze Working was about the Spearman not being cost effective against barbarians, relative to the Warrior. For almost twice the cost, its combat strength (12 CS) against them was close to the Warrior's with Brute Force (10.64 CS), and in a time when you're likely still without the Barracks and other means of ensuring promotions on the Spearman. This proposal is meant to fix this issue with the unit, placing its effective combat strength to 15.96 CS against barbarians and giving it a clearer edge over the Warrior.

If this is strictly about making the upgrade from warrior to spearman feel like value, you could also reduce Brute Force From +33% to +25%. That would reduce warriors to an effective 10.0CS vs barbs.

And would make early Barb hunting weaker, which I don’t think is desirable

Now you can argue Pikeman is not cost effective against barbarians, relative to Spearman.
