Main rave is that it's now the holidays for most of us, and yay it was a good term.
Rave away, one day we'll catch up with the Rantthreaders!

(and of course, the video above features kids idling away their holidays peacefully…)

What the heck happened to the number?

[wiki=Greek_numerals]Nothing[/wiki], why?

I truly pity you guys who have schooling all the way into practically July

Rave: this means I can be smug about it :smug:

Πραγματικά, μεγάλο δράκο, θα είναι το καλύτερο από εμάς!

Spoiler :
Truly, great dragon, you are the best of us!

You murdered it, Arakhor :( Don't use online translators.

FYI what you posted in Greek would mean: "Truly, a great dragon, it will be the best of us!" It has other problems too, and it can only stand to some extent if the "great dragon" part is uttered in a sort of soliloquy, since there is no way to actually refer to someone in this way other than in remembering something spoken of immediately before. Even so it still sounds borderline illiterate and a hideous sentence formation.

The correct phrase would have been: Πραγματικά, μεγάλε δράκε, είσαι ο καλύτερος απο εμάς! (which is pretty lame by itself though anyway)

This is the Raves thread, Kyriakos, not the Rants thread. :)

(Thank you for the impromptu Greek lesson though.)

I got 3/4 Fleetwood Mac albums I wanted! :D
Two of them in exchange for the compilation my mother originally bought and another one, Tusk, the one I wanted the most, I bought it myself at another store. But now I got them yay! :D

I managed to complete Half-Life: Opposing Force and Half-Life: Blue Shift. They are good.

I've decided that the 16th century would be the perfect setting for a Total War game. Janissaries, Landsknechts, Lepanto and Malta, Ivan the Terrible, Charles V, Elizabeth I, Suleiman the Magnificent, the Italian Wars, and a perfect blend of firearms, cannons, armor, and melee weapons. Unfortunately, there's not one decent mod for this anywhere for Medieval II or later!
This is acceptable to me

Yes, you'd better download it while TWC is up.

Yes, you'd better download it while TWC is up.

What do you mean? Is it going to be shut down?

And it seems that it might not be available to download anyway. And it's all in Russian.

No, it's just that TWC tends to have unpredictable collapses that can last for hours.

I have been working on the propulsion system for my team's satellite. Very exciting/fun stuff.

And it's safe enough I can't blow my face off!

Cleaning out my bookshelf, just came across the most random yet pretty cool booklet. It's a copy of the Gospel of Mark, given to me by former Australian cricket captain Brian Booth when I was a kid (his grandson was on my team), with a foreword written by Hansie Cronje, from before his matchfixing was uncovered.

Can't or you just haven't tried hard enough yet?
