The gentleman known to us as VRWCAgent who is a regular contributor of this travel guide has endeavored to reconstruct as best he has been able to the correct number and restore as best as he has been able to the links to the old threads. There are currently 2526 legitimate (and 1 unofficial which he did not count, see list) old music threads in archive, the oldest of which sequentially go 15, 16, 17, and 18 before going, as he put it, 'wonky'. Sadly, they were not in the habit with those old threads of linking all the previous ones, so those before #15 are apparently lost to time and space. What they DO do, though, is clearly suggests to me that there were 14 before that. So 25 + 14 + 1 (the one that just hit 1000) = 40, so the thread before this one is to the best of his reckoning actually thread 41 (XLI). So until/unless a mod wants to PM us with some hard evidence to counter these thorough investigations, we are following his declaration of the official number as the official count.
