This is not acceptable conduct and a British squadron is being deployed to ensure that the Omani Government affords all respect due to British subjects and British property. Mexico thanks the USA for recognition of this most recent declaration by a small group of troubled, and very likely, mad individuals with access to newspapers as an internal, domestic, matter for Mexico to resolve itself and not one that needs to be escalated by the involvement of outside parties such as Tejas or the USA.

The Sublime Porte feels that it would be courteous to notify its neighbors in the Austrian Empire and Serbia that His Imperial Majesty Mahmud II has ordered an increase in our military presence in the Nis and Bosnia Eyalets both for the security of the people living there and for the preservation of order within those Eyalets. This is in response to the recent unrest in those regions.
