Caste society civic question

For this reason I changed the +1:food: to +1:commerce: in my version. After all caste system is NOT about food production. Overcrowded India is only one example for caste but other caste societies don't have that high population.

I was actually thinking of doing the +1 commerce per specialist as well. It gives a bonus for specialists but is not quite as powerful as +1 food.
 
Yeah, test after playing recently and getting to the Industrial era, I can confirm that +1 food is super op. Unlimited specialists is an interesting trade off in the beginning, and if your cities get giant from corporations later then it's a no-brainer, but early it's not as essential.
 
I can find a bug that would make it so that switching out of Caste should give the city exactly -1 food as a result, for any number of specialists actually worked. I can't explain why it gets -1 food on specialists. I can't figure out CvGameTextMgr to track down the change per specialist from text.

I really can't recommend making the balance adjustment until this bug is hunted down. Attached is a compiled CvGameCore , I'm not up to figuring out how to get to Caste System in a test just yet.
