I patched my desktop and got the "Failed to Load". I will leave my
laptop as it is to continue my games.
I also had problems with the patch as my Firewall was being
difficult. I hate spending time and getting those HIPS downloads. I
also got a message with the in game download to go to civ4.com for
help. That didn't work either. Tore down the wall and all went fine.
Except for the Fail to Load stuff.

That patch is a huge version change! I think game after the fact will be very good but I'm willing to bet current games will be a disaster, like to v2.08 I think it was(everyone had to start a new

Yeah, sorry, I think there was so little interaction because we weren't used to the tech tree, combat mechanics, etc....maybe a second round would be more interesting
