Dear Players !

I invite you to take part on an Civ V international play by e-mail game !

The play by e-mail game is realized using hot seat
and by sending of saves from one player to another
and it works very well !

Please, use this thread, my e-mail and ICQ-number to contact me !

Everyone use the GMR client here for hotseat games. Plenty of games are running.

Dear Tabarnak ! Wellcome !

Sorry, Tabarnak, but not everyone uses the GMR client here for hot seat play by e-mail games - I do not :)

If you can begin a game in the hot seat mode and produce a save file in the hot seat saves folder of your Civ V, so you can play a game with me.

Would you like to play with me, Tabarnak ?

If you set a game using the gmr client i will gladly play with you :)

Not everyone use this client i agree, but here on civfanatics most guys are using it. Trust me, this is a great software!

I trust you. :)

But I do not use the Steam bound/related software .

I still invite you and you are welcome at any time to take part !

CiV is steam bound. How can you play without steam?

Dear EEE_BOY ! Welcome !

Yes, CiV is steam bound. :(

For a hot seat pbem game I do use only the save files, that are produced in the hot seat saves folder. It is very simple :) and GMR client is not needed there for.

I would be glad to play a pbem game with Tabarnak and you, EEE_BOY ! Aren't you?:)

Thanks for the invite, but pbem is like telegraph and GMR is like telephone. I have tried telephone now and I doubt I will go back to try telegraph again.:p

Good luck trying to get other players on board

I love your logic EEE_Boy!

It just occured to me though that you don't actually have to own a copy of CiV through Steam to utilize GMR. You only need a Steam account (which is free). GMR wouldn't be able to launch the game for you as it uses the Steam shortcut for that, but as long as the pirated copy of CiV stored its save files to the same hotseat directory the client app should work fine.

I don't know though... maybe I shouldn't be encouraging this :shifty:

I would be interested in a pbem game.
