I'm on the west coast and it went from 4 1/2 to 17 in just about 10 minutes

Last time I saw it was 8 hours, now it is 17h

People are all over it in Steam forums. Someone stated they have done this for several pre orders before but the game still released as advertised at midnight

Must be a bug. There's no reason to change the release date after it's been released on other regions.

Civ twitter reassured me that the release time should be midnight ET, so I'm hoping it's just a hiccup on Steam.

Seeing this too. It should be unlocking in 4 hours, now it shows 16 hours.

Mine just says pre-load complete. Plus it just recently finished down loading the Aztec pack.
