i am running xp, have bts 3.17, verified in "about this build", (even tried to reload that patch, said it was not needed). i patiently waited for ffh2 0.40, so do not have any experience with prior versions. i downloaded it to "my games", ran install, and verified that the 766mb file was in mods in bts, then downloaded patch s. same results by using the ffh2 shortcut, or starting bts,
the screen with the horned demon loads up, music plays, if i move the cursor to the center and press enter, an expanding ball of light comes from his hand, but nothing happens, music still plays. moving the cursor all over the page, on which there are no buttons or words like "load a game", reveals no hot links or content. why won't the game load if it gets this far?? have not seen this particular problem mentioned on this board. thanks!
