Help with Scenarios

Can someone give me an idiots guide to loading the scenarios please.. I did what I thought was correct, but all I get is a dual game playing as the Banor?? What am I missing please?? (apart from a brain!)

The scenario screen should pop-up, and then you click on the flag next to the scenario you want.

Don't exit out of the screen which pops up right when you start

thanks guys.. I was clicking on the flag, but not waiting for it to load... got impatient and was clicking exit..
