I've just finished a space race game. I've won on the same date that a published game in HOF. May I still submit it? Is there a way to break the tie?

You can always submit a game, even if it is not the best game.
In case of a tie on date, score will count next for what is the best game.

It is well worth to submit games even if you don't beat the #1 (and sounds like you did, or possibly did). It will count for Quattromaster and Elite Quattromaster. Also, if you click on for example the icon to the left of one of the columns (Conquest in this case), you get a list of all games that fits the filter, also non-#1 games. Like this (for Deity Conquest).
