How do I make mods compatible with Warlords?

I took a very long break from modding, and in that time period, warlords came out. So is there a basic method that I can use to make my old mods compatible with warlords, or do I just have to do a trial and error thing with the error messages that pop up?

Depends on the mod. XML should be pretty easy with something like WinMerge, but for Python mods you'll probably have to manually add at least function calls back in. I would think reskins would practically be Warlords-compatible already, while SDK mods would be the toughest.

Keeping a changelog helps a lot.
