I noticed this apparent glitch years ago, and I couldn't find another thread about this problem.
So I vassalize an AI and later go to war with someone else. I could be fighting someone on another continent, with my vassal's units not being within a hundred tiles of a city I'm besieging, but the instant I capture it I get a message that I've killed the defender but that my vassal captured the city
This only happens occasionally, but it's infuriating. I don't have a save, but can anyone relate or explain this?
