lost diplomacy with city states

Since the last patch I've been having 2 major issues with Civ 5:

I can't open a save game that I started with the Hawaian civ and since end of June, i get a runtime error.

I started another game with Songhai and now I don't have access to diplomacy with city states.

What is happening?

The first error is simple, I guess that the patch screwed it.

For the second, I believe that is a reported bug?. I dunno, try checking the integrity of civ5.

And also what do you mean that you cannot access to diplomacy? Do you click on the CS but their pop up don't appear?

yes, this is what is happening.

Whenever I click on a city state on the map or in the diplomacy window, nothing happens. no pop up.

It's less fun to play without it.

Have you started another game and the problem still persist? Did you clean the cache?
