the first will reject am a nobody and a nothing thing because of the Stuntwoman . She is reported a few times a year to be around . the realists are the ones who have heard that ı come out as generally correct after stuff happens and things are searched for and it turns out that there is a distinct probability that ı had said so . That ı read the fine print , the stuff written in hard to read small letters and make a fight out of stuff that's like , you know , unimportant and stuff .

like the rejection of August 30th here even if the person who did it is probably unaware . Once New Turkey used to reject the entire Turkish War of Liberation as a fiction . Evil British faking a war to emplace a traitor to abolish the Caliphate . The Greeks and stuff were all driven out basically because of Jews -who also destroyed everything proper and imposed their godlessness on the country . Police would use teargas and water cannons in Ankara to stop people attempting to visit Atatürk's burial thing . It was some sort of a final straw between the PM and the 11th President when the latter ordered the Police to stand down , a few years back .

this year's effort involves twitter stuff that says the "Great Offensive" started on 27th of August , because 26th is also an anniversary of Malazgirt 1071 and the rout of Eastern Rome . Can not mention Mustafa Kemal in any comparision between the two . You know , which was the standart thing in my youth . The first making Anatolia an home for Turks and latter making it eternal , which also justified the Republic .

and Μάχη του Τουμλού Μπουνάρ is real enough to (reportedly) to be present Greek language , even if there is no specific wikipedia page for it , copy pasted the thing from the English language version . The reason any Westerner is now expected to reject it is that like it might be the first Turkish victory in 200 years in an offensive setting . Instead of absorbing hostile attack , break it through attrition and winning , as done here , with the example of Sakarya .

and ı doubt it is just the Germans who are jealous of the name "the battle of Commander-in-Chief" . Which is of course taken from the Kaiserschlact (which also actually failed) . People have no way of knowing everything , it is not important in practical terms , but the thing is it is a successful offensive action in an era when these things were next to impossible . Yes , if true Western Front norms were to be employed , there would have to be millions and millions of Greeks on the front instead of just 225 000 . Who lost basically half of their number and like 150 000 square kilometers in 14 days . Kemal was utterly wrong in predicting the troops would be in Izmir in 15 days , because they were a day early . All of this happening with actually a weaker force . Stuff . Stuff . If there were millions of Allied troops in those trenches , it is only just that we would have thousands of tanks and a few Spitfires . There are few , only a few in writing books about military matters who think that Mustafa Kemal would have used them in the proper manner , because he was (basically) a genius in war . Even if history thinks his politics were more impressive . You see , still trying to impose things , after a century .

Turkish Citizenship Is a Hot Commodity
Only microstates used to offer passports to wealthy individuals in exchange for an investment, but then Turkey got into the game.

In the Western world, the idea of citizenship is usually celebrated for its promise of equality. Even in societies divided by class and status, citizenship enables disadvantaged segments of the population to obtain basic rights. Yet access to citizenship itself remains fundamentally unequal. No matter the country, governments screen entry into their territories to move the connected, the talented and the wealthy to the head of the line, while those deemed less worthy are left waiting on the doorstep. In the face of these barriers, many people act strategically by acquiring a second citizenship to give themselves more options and to hedge risks. Citizenship by investment (CBI) programs are an increasingly popular way for wealthy people to acquire citizenship in another country in exchange for a defined financial contribution. To qualify, an applicant makes a donation to a government fund or invests in an approved channel, typically real estate, businesses or bonds. Permanent residence is often unnecessary or reduced to bureaucratic box-ticking. Indeed, some countries do not even require naturalizers to visit.

A decade ago, the market for citizenship was dominated by island microstates. Those that can offer “top tier” citizenships—like Malta, whose citizens also become citizens of the European Union—may ask for more than $1 million for the privilege. Others, like small countries in the Caribbean, may expect as little as $100,000. Since 2019, however, Turkey—a true nation-state—has come to dominate this global market and now accounts for around half of all CBI naturalizations, a stunning rise.
By 2020, Turkey had naturalized over 5,100 investors and their families. An additional 380 were waiting for their documents, and up to 9,000 more applications were in processing. The investment numbers were big as well. The 5,100 new citizens had brought $1.7 billion to the country, and those in the waiting room would deliver over $400 million more. The interior minister estimated that the pending applications together would garner an additional $2.7 billion. By June 2020, the program averaged over 1,300 approvals per month. More recent numbers are unavailable, but since Turkey is one of the few CBI countries that still naturalizes Russian citizens, it’s likely that the figure remains high.

Ankara rolled out the scheme in 2016 to boost the economy as Turkey’s housing and construction sectors flagged. Initially, an applicant was required to put at least $1 million into property, $2 million into a business or $3 million into government bonds or a bank; he or she could naturalize after holding the asset for three years. Alternatively, an investor could employ 100 Turk-ish citizens. The offering was straightforward, but at first only 70 people applied, most of them already living in the country. The problem was that the price was high, comparable to that of Malta and Cyprus, but Turkey didn’t have what the two microstates could offer: EU citizenship. Two years later, the Turkish government lowered the minimum investment amount. Now citizenship could be obtained with a bank deposit, business investment or government bond purchase of $500,000, or a property investment of just $250,000—the cost of a nice house in Istanbul. At a time when the lira was seeing 20% inflation, bringing dollars into the country seemed like a solid money-maker, and the program took off. Turkey reportedly received 250 applications in the first seven months of its relaunched program.

Investors from Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Egypt showed the greatest interest at first, several service providers told me. Many were wealthy people who moved to or at least set up a base in Turkey in order to escape political turmoil or pressure at home. Before long foreign residents of Dubai were showing interest, as well as investors from Russia and Pakistan. Turkey was a serious economy right in their backyard, and becoming a citizen there could facilitate business transactions in the Middle East. By the 2020s, the Chinese were getting on board as well, attracted by rock-bottom real estate prices that were appreciating by 20% a year. As one lawyer in Istanbul put it, people who were buying real estate before “are just getting citizenship on top now.”
There are some drawbacks to Turkey’s program, but the country offers workarounds. Turkish citizenship doesn’t bring automatic entry into the EU’s passport-free Schengen zone, but since the country is a member of the European Union Association, its citizens can apply for a long-term multi-entry visa with relative speed and ease. While Turk-ish citizens are required to perform military service, those living abroad receive exemptions, and others can serve just 14 to 21 days if they pay the government $7,000. And Turkey offers an extra prize. The country boasts a treaty with the U.S. that allows its citizens to apply for an E2 residence permit in order to run an enterprise. Applicants need only to capitalize a business— about $200,000 usually suffices— to acquire a permit that covers their whole family. The E2 permit must be renewed and doesn’t lead to permanent-resident status, but that’s a plus for many wealthy people, since permanent residence would bring them under the U.S. tax net for life. Until Brexit, the U.K. offered a similar side door to residence via the Turkish Businessperson visa. The popularity of this perk was clear, with applications exploding from almost 800 in 2018 to nearly 3,000 in 2019.

Turkey represents a shift in the citizenship industry away from microstates, where investor citizens spend little to no time, toward bigger countries with bigger economies. “It has livability,” as one lawyer put it, before rattling off the high-end neighborhoods and restaurants, as well as attractive business possibilities. “You can have a real life. A driver costs only $1,000 per month.” Another service provider explained that Turkey appeals to Middle Easterners because it’s close to home, easy to access and livable. “With a Turkish passport, you can’t go to the U.K. or the EU,” she observed, “but in comparison to an Iraqi or Syrian passport, it’s very good.” In addition, Turkey appears to be more resilient against external pressure than other countries. Unusually for a major program, it doesn’t prohibit applications from citizens of countries on U.S. travel-ban or sanctions lists, including Iran and Iraq. After

Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Turkey didn’t fall into line with EU demands to ban Russians from the CBI program, as did Malta and the Caribbean countries. Notably, Turkey does a lot for the EU: For a cool 6 billion euros from Brussels, it houses over three million refugees who might otherwise seek shelter in Europe. The EU may be reluctant to pressure a neighboring state that has done so much to keep asylum seekers at bay. The number of investor citizens is minuscule in comparison to the foreign population of Turkey as a whole. The country currently hosts about a thousand refugees for each wealthy naturalizer it accepts. Yet as a proportion of the global CBI market, the number is huge and likely only to grow.

Demand for programs like Turkey’s will persist as long as countries continue to produce wealthy citizens looking to improve their mobility or opportunities, or for an insurance policy against their own government. The shift from microstates to bigger countries is likely to accelerate as the trend toward deglobalization transforms the CBI landscape, leading people to look for ways to guarantee access should countries delink or seal themselves off into regional blocks. And supply is unlikely to falter as states with limited revenue sources turn to this source of easy money, particularly when other economic streams dry up. all management books talk about the team thing . If you feel belonging in something , you will not grumble for the long hours or the bosses exploiting you and all .

when ı started being a museum guide , the management naturally told us we were special , a breed apart , all the good words . We would even get a bonus . Was unhappy myself . It would make us the target of the rest of the contractor company , the employees of which were basically doing the same exact thing . We should have got that bonus after those guys had seen that we had memorised everything in the museum and it was cerebral and there would be dignitaries to impress with the attendant risks and they , those with less pay , would be chasing skirts instead . That the bonus was our due , in itself nothing , just a 5 or 10% that wouldn't justify the hassle of being hated . But then ı wasn't running the GD , GE or GM and General Dynamics of F-16 fame no longer existed in 2004 as well . They DID have to give that bonus to the rest of the workforce , too , after there was just a half day of upheaval .

but it would have made us a team . Due to being hated by the rest of the company , those losers who were not good enough to work in the museum . And if you weren't upto the demands of being a team , you could be sent to various places where all the other losers worked , doing essentially the same thing .

teams work best when team members feel like being a team ; us against them is so cool when there is a joke or a thousand and friendly banter and laughter . Am funny as hell ; fat , short and bald . Famous countrywide for pointless aggression and acceptance of wearing the swastika whenever their leaders felt like it after their handlers were ordered from Ankara , their importance was reinforced by the alliance they had from fans in Ankara , united against the 3 big clubs of Istanbul . So , they laughed at me and given enough time and guidance and orders , decided ı was a spy , a traitor and a Jew and stuff .

the thing being the "Republic rallies" in which the Left saw A-K-P as the counter-revolution and a grave danger against the country . Probably hundreds of thousands of people in the big city nearby know who ı am , might even be a million . When "everybody" disparages me and adds that am staging a coup because demonstrating against A-K-P is always high treason , it suddenly pays dividends to make r16 famous . As a spy ... Like am not a spy or anything , can not get them , right ?

which indeed reached a peak with a referandum thing where ı opposed the right of women to work and earn a salary . When the narrative is strongly controlled basically any of your female relatives who indeed work or have worked beside house chores become invisible . All you need to do it is taking one CFC post that tells Uncle Sam to go and s_xually satisfy himself and turn into a specific insult against an US Diplomat ı probably never saw . You do this with mistranslating r16 and dispensing it online , the coverage is extensive and them translators know everything better than me . No , Hillary Clinton did not send any protest notes ; America loves us Turks NOT but is in love with New Turkey . Yeah , them smart people who know both Turkish and English and any other -ish better than me . and the "irony" is that one of the organizers of those rallies (who should have been locked up for treason and the key sent to moon) actually had his name changed in court and became a staunch supporter of the Goverment , when his share of the loot was unsatisfactory as a Opposition opinion leader . Yeah , such people are smart , money probably come in sacks . All ı got was a police investigation where they like officially deduced there was no way ı could have organized a million man march when the entire damned city was against me . At least that's what was leaked . This ı attribute to the Congregation members in my various university classes . They have never missed any chances to call anyone not with them as losers , couldn't miss the fun when the whole city was laughing , because they were the FIRST ! No , ı really didn't organize any million man marches .

The national park status of the mountain nearby would be revoked , which happened after a period with everybody being tame and easy ... Money , after building lots are assigned and sold to Arabs , because that's the way it is .

the disgrace of July 15th in which one future interior minister of A-K-P liberated the TV studios of the so called state channel not with SWAT teams in civilian attire but Kurdish drug runners with an actual machine gun (Minimi or whatever) and we learn this in 2023 because he is in war with his successor .

Which was a regular thing back then ; some of their pilots fought in the 1967 war . The Chinese stopped , offered the services of North Korean volunteers , Russians stopped reinforcing their borders , resumed weapon exports/deliveries and remarkably increased the scope . You might have heard of the "monkey versions" , older or derated forms of equipment donated or sold on the cheap to client states that might change sides on a whim of their dictators . The deadliest improvement involved the SA-6 SAM system , which gained the so called wartime frequencies , like upgrades the Israelis were not informed of by Americans and had no counter with their existing stocks of Shrike anti-radiation missiles .

at this point you will have to remember Sedat had conspired against the British in WW II , working as the liasion of two German spies sent to Cairo . Who spent all their time and money in the redlight districts . He starkly compared them to what he was hearing and stuff in the 70s . Also remember that the Six Day War was an utter shock to all Arabs and Jordan was like the first to call on Ankara . So , Russians naturally informed Syrians on what was going on . Which in the end indeed marred the outcome . As Syrians had tougher territory to advance into , suffered because they were a greater threat to Israeli population/power and all and they were given priority , creating the venue for Moshe Dayan to stage his nervous breakdown and look like trying to launch nuclear strikes which accelerated American intervention despite Nixon-Kissinger antipathy and conspiracy against the Labour Goverment in Tel Aviv . And so on . Meaning the Egyptians had to operate out of their SAM belts , casualties of which creating the opportunity for Ariel Sharon to cross the Canal on the other direction . Which would also be a thing in bringing Likud and all the Right Wing baggage to power in Israel in later years . Sedat would have crossed , sit tight , beat back the counter attacks , watch America squirm and make peace with Israel . A lot of empty desert , no urgency and the world would have loved Israel cut down to size . Nobody would have cared for Dayan babbling that the Temple was falling and they had to go nuclear beacuse the Arabs would kill them all ... If that didn't work out , Sedat could indeed "somehow" keep his wartime economy until 1976 , a date Israelis had agreed that the Egyptian Army would be ready to carry out a full offensive across the Sinai . Remember this for the following part ; you will understand why Israel was so profoundly asleep on the 50th anniversary of the war .

the bathtub story , which is not real and all , on the surface is a slap against the global Jewish conspiracy thing , that their attack against New Turkey using the Congregation had failed and bad things might happen if they kept trying . Never ever mentioned again after it supposedly delivered . Actually it is all about internal affairs . The so-called Euroasians ... New Turkey kept sending to jail to destroy the now dead Turkish Armed Forces as the arrests cleared the way for faster promotion of Congregation members in the military . Half of Euroasians are intelligence plants of the pro-American state and New Turkey that came afterwards . They all claim to follow Atatürk but like would have shot him in the 1920s , you know , because . They all hate "NATO Officers" who prefer America to Russia . And their current stock doesn't know this but their 1960s variety hated Lord Vader to a man . Who would be called a mustang in American parlance , taken from the ranks one day , disappearing for years , the training somehow involving an USMC assault course for a while and somehow seeing places in the East the Eurasians actually hate , returning with the blonde in tow , or was it the other way around ? 1960s saw multiple coup attempts (with would-be Baathists and all) trying to take advantage of the "legitimite" coup , all brought down by Inönü not because he was jealous of de Gaulle but had he desired anymore dictatorship of any kind he wouldn't have given up with the elections of 1950 . Lord Vader not to be messed with , if the people were patriots and stuff . The others would be dealt with and stuff in the appropriate way . They didn't like it at all .

eurasians gladly re-took the positions they were driven off by the Congregation , justifying the thing and stuff ; the Counter-Revolution getting into higher gear as a result . They are of course still thrown out from positions of power and whatnot but then yes , this indeed the way it is .

there were of course thorny issues . Like it wasn't Lord Vader who had given away 12 towns or neighbourhoods to the seperatists for election support . Bloody urban combat . More expected in Syria because after all it wasn't Lord Vader who supported the Jihadists of all stripes AND the seperatists to bring down the Alawites to establish Ihvanistan , later to unite with Egypt and stuff on the way to Caliphate . Eurasians might balk , just in the way Congregation had taken one look at war beyond the assuredly limited counter-insurgency thing we have had here since the 1980s . They , the so called Golden Generation didn't want to die but could not tolerate others to fight either . Because their enemies in the promotion lists could win renown in battle , making it harder to mark them as godless cowards . So , this is indeed the drone explosion thing , New Turkey dazzling the world with its robots of war . Making America miss the boat as the designated boots on the ground , the now dead Turkish Armed Forces failing to bring down Syria on schedule and a truly alarmed Russia beginning its own series of interventions that had to go against American interests for credibility . Them Americans had make the best of it .

the second son-in-law of the PM famously started making drones in 2007 before marrying in 2016 . There is indeed confirmation that some military officer advised him to keep going because the Americans and Israelis were sabotaging drone operations of the now dead Turkish Armed Forces and local production efforts were being stalled to keep the seperatists safe in the field . It is also widespread that the officer in question was later killed in some seperatist attack . Meaning there was immense media coverage of the second son-in-law of the PM and his wedding gift to Nation , drones that employ weapons .

the New Turkey is naturally a coalition and the apparent singularity thing with the PM being the only source of authority in any field can crack easily if you look carefully enough . He would want his sons to replace him , it being the essense of dynastic rule , but that was the first thing denied to him . Instead he got his son-in-law and the media empire that enables the 1984 in the country . It was all plain sailing and the second son-in-law was allowed to shine , with dissent carefully managed . The problem was the interior secretary of the palace cabinet . Who got the support of almost racists who made the most of the Washington order of supporting A-K-P after the Congregation coup thing , by putting their supporters into State and Goverment positions who were "liberated" from the Congregation and there were not enough "Arabs" and actual Arabs to employ . Son-in-law didn't like it but his rule of economy was brilliant only in his brother's newspapers and he had made money in stockmarket speculation , money that came out of Western banks and funds . That one is never forgiven . He had to accept the second son-in-law's rise . He and the interior secretary have had physical altercations in cabinet meetings , he accepted his father-in-law having the second son-in-law as a back up to keep the interior secretary out . Like nobody in A-K-P likes when they taste their own Justice as the accused .

which would mean a new twist for r16 in public perception . Like declared that ı had made it to the list of people to be executed if the Coup had succeeded and this explained why the 3 old guys crossing or rather not crossing the Suez in a bath tube were like totally and fully supporting the Goverment because it seemed protecting me from actual harm was the only thing they were actually bothering with in real life .

which of course was later attacked in a TV series which actually depicted yours idiotly in multiple forms .

a guy so heroic that he never knew he had a daughter because the woman wouldn't want him distracted from saving the country . My name went to a guy pathetically dead . Surname was used for the worst bad guy of the series . My late father's funeral was not attacked by Jihadists , only one guy trying to irritate me more on the day , a single question anyone would have easily answered but without the baggage of 5 years at the time . Can't tell whether he was the one in the same street of the mosque who overdosed in body building . And after ı was out and dead in each and every form , the guys , my protectors ı mean , went out to fishing ...

these are real . And not real at the same time . Didn't start anything , it was a joke ı would myself laugh in the museum . istanbul is on the otherside of the sea . Not my town , was there only twice or thrice , on visits to relatives in Bulgaria 40 years ago . All ı remember is the ferry we took and my surprise the Bosphorus was really "flowing" like a river or something . Two suspension bridges inside the town . If coming by bus you will take the 3rd currently outside due North , because the bus truck traffic is sent there to decrease congestion and increase profits for PM and associates . A Holiday Bird Named for The Wrong Country

THANKSGIVING IS SO intimately connected with eating turkey that Americans have long dubbed the holiday “Turkey Day.” But the bird on the Thanksgiving table has had some unexpected geopolitical ramifications, with the country of Turkey in recent years seeking to distance itself from the avian name. The connection between “turkey” the bird and “Turkey” the country is rooted in an old misapprehension. The ethnic designation “Turk” dates back to 8thcentury inscriptions naming a nomadic confederation that migrated from central Asia to the Anatolian peninsula, eventually home to the Ottoman Empire.

In medieval Latin, the land was known as “Turchia,” which became “Turkey” in English. A chronicle by the priest and poet Layamon from the early 13th century portrays the “king of Turckie” as one of the Roman emperor’s allies arrayed against the legendary King Arthur. And Geoffrey Chaucer used the place name in his “Book of the Duchess,” telling of a lady who refrained from sending knights to far-flung places like “Turkye.” It wasn’t until the 16th century that “Turkey” got applied to game birds. The first was actually the guinea fowl, native to sub-Saharan Africa and introduced into Europe by Turkish traders. In English they were originally known as “turkeycocks” and “turkey-hens,” or “turkeys” for short.
Meanwhile, Spanish explorers brought back a bird from the Americas, first domesticated in Mexico, that looked similar.

Based on that resemblance, the New World bird got called “turkey” too. As early as 1555, “turkies” appeared on the menu of a sumptuous English banquet, with pheasants, swans and larks. Wild turkey was also on the menu for the Pilgrims at their famous Plymouth feast in 1621, and turkey would be elevated as the sine qua non of Thanksgiving commemorations. As early as 1867, Thanksgiving got the nickname “Turkey Day,” with an item in the San Francisco Examiner noting that there was no better way to “evince thankfulness on such a day than by feeding on turkeys and other palatable and savory dishes.”

By the turn of the 20th century, “turkey” started attracting less palatable connotations. As the word sleuth Barry Popik found, the phrase “turkey show” got used in show-business circles around 1900 to refer to one-night theatrical performances put on in small towns for the Thanksgiving holiday season. They were “performed for the money and not the critics,” Popik wrote. A 1906 article in the New York Evening Telegram quoted the great showman George M. Cohan explaining the expression, adding, “Hence a show that will just about get away under cover of a general and generous theatre going is a ‘turkey.’” Eventually the connection to Thanksgiving performances was lost and just the name of the bird remained. In Variety in 1925, New York theater critic Jack “Con” Conway lambasted a burlesque show: “It’s a turkey, if ever there was one, and as vulgar as it is unentertaining.”

Two years later, in a roundup of Broadway slang for Vanity Fair, Walter Winchell defined “turkey” as “a third-rate production.” The word would come to label box-office flops and other commercial failures, and by the 1950s, it could also be used pejoratively for a foolish person. Those less-than-flattering meanings are not lost on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has insisted that the country be known as “Türkiye,” even in English.

(The State Department in January announced they would recognize the name, but most U.S. media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, have stuck with “Turkey.”) “The main reason why Turkey is changing its name is to eliminate the association with the bird,” Sinan Ulgen, chairman of the Istanbul think tank EDAM, told CNN. “But also, the term is used in colloquial language to denote failure.”

this is perhaps the third version of something ı started like on late January or something . The maiden flight of F-24G was being delayed for maximum effect in the elections . Was to mention how the Republic of 1923 had been involved (because you know it is F-24G , not F-44 something) . Was not to brag about stuff ı didn't . The initial version was weak , would be hard to grasp . Second was doing allright until the maiden flight . When this agency in Istanbul , being the prime shapers of the 1984 in this country joined in some other place . Some guy called the Opposition as idiots . Some guy who knows me calmly tried to "help" this some guy to reverse . Agency people joined in , two posts remained . Not my "crew" this some guy and if he is indeed just some young one proud to have achieved things and unaware that the second son-in-law of the PM is looking for talent for the days when sea ends in a Turkish phrase , his friends and colleagues will gladly help him eat his post .

ı expect this post to be complained about . So , to make it better , this is like the first official act of the agency against evil r16 or whatever . Like it is the local trolls who ran a whole referandum campaign for the city some decade back with a claim that ı oppose women working ... The same who insist ı tell people to watch TV as if ı was worth anything . They should really watch TV but anyhow . There are indeed far too many people in this country who would call r16 names if it was ever implied Dunning-Kruger applies to them all the same .
