Orions Mod Collection

All of your graphics updates add a touch of claass to the mod. Expect them to appear in the next update. Thanks.

The monster fish is interesting. You named it a Leviathan. Actually a Leviathan is thought to be a plesiosaur, not a fish. It would be cool if someone could develop the graphics for a plesiosaur.

There is already a pleiosaur about. Or at least a sea serpent that could have be based on it. I was using it as a crocodile until Vincentz put out his alligator.

d/l'ed this mod twice now and each time while waiting for it to load it CTD's, what the heck??

None of your python were renamed: Grand Inquisitions 255A?

This is not a WoC based mod like C2C so you need to set your ini file to
Code:
; Modular XML Loading
ModularLoading   = 1

I have had no trouble playing once I did that.

Just curious. Were you able to figure out how to add additional resources without breaking BUG 4.4?

Yes you can add additional resources without breaking BUG 4.4
here is SeaLion by saibotlieh added in to show you it can be done.
The only think is I don't know how to change SeaLion by saibotlieh nif file to make it smaller someone with who can work with nif files is needed here I think the SeaLion would be cool if it was smaller.

Don't you just change the scale in the Art defines file?

Great! I'll add a couple of new resources to test it out. :woohoo:

I still can't get it to work. It just crashes.

^^^ same here.

1. Make sure you have Civ4, Warlords and Beyond the Sword installed with the latest patches.

2. Make sure you have installed the Grand Inquisitions 255A in this folder:

Code:
C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods

3. Change the following value in your "Grand Inquisitions 255A.ini" file and the CivilizationIV.ini file:

Code:
; Modular XML Loading
ModularLoading = 1

4. When you start a new game, make sure you change the map option to:

Code:
OGI_SmartMap

5. Customize the OGI SmartMap options to your preferences.

If you follow all of these steps, OGI will run nicely. :)

Tried that and still crashes when loading XML (uncached) here's the logs

I fixed one Python error that will be included in ver 255B, but it should not be the cause for a CTD. I have a few questions:

1. When is the last time you have ran a defrag of your hard disk?

2. What kind of Processor do you have?

3. How much RAM memory do you have?

4. How much on board memory does your video card have?

These can all dramatically affect PC performance.

1. When is the last time you have ran a defrag of your hard disk?
Windows 7 automatically defrags the drives, just checked and it says 0% fragmented

2. What kind of Processor do you have?
Intel E8400 dual-core OC @4g

3. How much RAM memory do you have?
4G DDR2 pc6400

4. How much on board memory does your video card have?
ASUS EN9600GT 512mb

These can all dramatically affect PC performance.

Never had any problems with any games before.

Try this to see if it will help, uninstall civ 4 Warlords and Beyond the Sword then go to the Official site for Sid Meier's Civilization Computer Strategy Games.http://www.firaxis.com/
and press support install civ 4 then its two patches next install warlords then its two patches and last Beyond the Sword and its 5 patches in that order and not from your discs updated patches. I had problems to with some mods not working after doing this all the mods I download work now for me.I found that I have more files install this way it gives you some missing files that you might need to play some mods that you were not able to play before.
ex: by doing it this you get these missing files in Beyond the Sword

C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Shaders\FX

folder that I did not have before by installing from my install discs updated files.

Im having the same problems :/ I want this mod to work so badly I created an account on here just to respond to this thread. I purchased mine off of Impulse if that makes a difference, it shouldn't though. I crash at the same spot, the uncached loading
