Hi,

Long time listener, first time caller here. I really need your help with an issue. I need to get BtS to be usable without the dvd. Can you please help me download a mac patch that will let me play the game without the dvd? I have installed it, but it is unplayable.

Hi, welcome.

The windows version of BtS requires no DVD, but the Mac version is not available in a no-DVD format as far as I know.

Why is it unplayable? Do you not have a DVD player on your Mac?

The only way that I know of to use CIV on a Mac without a DVD is to purchase one of the online versions, such as Steam. However, you are then stuck with the online verification instead.
