well, the idea is to give the city screen some flavor of the civ you are currently playing. I have added the Flavor screen now also to several advisor screens.

post any good pictures (or sources of pictures) you know, espescially for these civs:

Sweetness I had hoped to get Civ specific art someday with the screens, hadn't thought to limit it to the city screen only. And my attempt at religion specific was hard enough to manage, and met with a fair deal of cynicism, so I abandoned hope of accomplishing the goal. I'll be pleased to see this pan out You are taking a nicer approach thus far (I fear I was aiming to be too elaborate in my attempts)

Is the center of the background completely covered or can you see through a little?

They certainly look nice. I'm a little worried that some of the backgrounds might be a tad busy. Just something to keep in mind as you go forward.
So, will tolerant trait let cities keep their default screen or will everything change over to the default Elohim?

I will add a gameoption (or maybe a option in BUG) to disable this feature. What do you mean with busy? in terms of performance, the background is just a 2d surface, any graphic card is crazy fast at that. Well, could be that the most recent directX works a bit different, but these images shouldn't cost performance.

Tolerant trait probably will display always the culture of the civ, not the city, so that not all art must be loaded.

By busy, I believe it was meant that it would be distracting, that there would be too much in the background to easily pick out the information.

I like the Ljos image, and the Illians, but any that is more than just a landscape could easily be too busy to really use.

unfortunatly there is no way to display a transparent picture in the center. (I tested it and it looked pretty good, but you couldn't click anymore to change which plots are worked by the city.)
