Bio: Valeria was the great power that started the world war, and has ceased to exist. Now, years later, survivors of the war have decided to resurrect Valeria. Present-day Valeria is small and weak, lacking enough food to feed all it's citizens or such luxuries as plumbing on it's backwards islands. Despite it's weakness, Valeria's ruling class, the Hanz family, possesses great cunning and covets the power of old Valeria.
Population: 36,862.
Capital City: Estation, Hanz island. Population: 4000(citizens) ????(unrecorded). government: Monarchy. Food Supply: 1.2 meals per day per citizen. Electricity: 0 KwH
Technology: The Hanz family places great faith in the methods and buried secrets of old Valeria, and believe the simplest approach is the best. Thus, stick with what you know, the basics.
Goals: acquire enough food to feed the empire, and electricity to use.

Ambassador Hanz petitions the Alliance of free city states Diclonius Commonwealth for a trade agreement between them and Valeria.
Valeria can export carkers, dirt, famine, disease, unrefined oil, and Cigars. Valeria needs primarily food.

" In the bengining, there was the atom. The basics of everything held within, the atom was the building blocks of all societies."
- Opening passage of the Book of the Quark
The members met together silently, on the old church not far from downtown. They opened the doors and walked in, feeling the heat given off by the torches on the sides of the room. The seats, benches actually, were arrenged, all facing a podium at the front, with a large image of the Church behind, a little faded due to its age. Most set down, others stood on the sides of the wall, staring at the podium. Then, a small door opened near the back, and a man dressed in the robes of a priest moved to the front, putting a book on the podium, and opening it.
" The atom gives energy to all, and sustains all life. It is the atom we owe our lives, for building this world we live in. We thank the atom, and all its done for us." Everyone read suddenly, in unison.
The priest then began, " Thank you all members attending today's events, please read today's passages.
In The Church of Atom, different passages of the the Books of Atom were assigned differernt days, and if you attend The Church, you must read those passasges. After about 5 minutes, everyone looked up, waiting to hear the priest begin.
" We all know todays is a special day, the holy day of the Church's founder, Oppenhiemer, he who gave us the knowledge of the atom, so we may thank it." the priest said in a booming voice.
And thus the people began, " The Prophet Oppenhiemer, he who taught us the atom, died today, many years ago. We meet here, to show we still remember his knowledge, and that we will forever remember what he and the atom have given us."
As they recited the passage, men and women came from the kitchen, holding drinks out and setting it in from of the members, and walking out. Then they came back, wheeling out carts with food, which had been carefully cooked all through out the day, and set in by a table near the kitchen door.
After the passage was recited, they raised there drinks and all in unsion said, "To Atom."

Recently, the government of the mighty Wehrmacht Empire has bowed to strong internal pressure to expel all non-naturalized Diclonians from Wehrmachtian borders, including foreign nationals and legal aliens.
In other news, The Church of the Atom has been established in one of the northern Wehrmachtian cities, Danzig. It is rumored that missionaries are spreading it throughout the empire, and the Quark is being distributed in the northern provinces.

A Carker is one of the lower-class(think Serf).
Ambassador Hanz now directs Valeria's trade offer to the mighty Wehrmacht Empire.
Valeria can offer oil, cigars, and Carkers for food and technology. After the disastrous negotiations with the Diclonians, we have decided to withhold our famine, disease and dirt to spite the world.
There are four holy books, Quark, Proton, Electron, and Decay.

In other news, all four holy books of the Church of the Atom are now circulating throughout the empire, taking it by storm. With 70% of the population now following the Atom, the Wehrmact Empire officially converts to the Church of the Atom, but will not condemn any non-believing nation for their heresay.
