Rise and Stagnation of Civilization (Earth18Civs BtS, not RFC)

Sorry to be a pain can that be Louis actually? The stone and marble screams a few wonders... I think removing portugal for France would probably be the most sensible idea also.

Louis, got it.

Wait, a wonder hogging civ right in the middle between me and Nighthawk? Do you want to become an unlikely pair's common enemy in this game? Because it sure looks like it.

And both of you wanting revenge from rfc trimuvate uprising... Can't we all be friends? Everyone loves France! I did make that choice before I knew of the human players... Hmm oh dear. We have packed Europe up rather well!

Its not a matter of revenge - I try to keep my games separate as best I can, although I'll freely admit I don't always succeed at that. But I have no personal beef with you, it wouldn't be about that... it would just be the common enemy who's culture will bother both of us!

How about this deal - everyone let me build the Pyramids and I will be your friend, ok?

Since my stagnation era is past the one I can get Representation in without the Mids I see no problem with that.

No backsies now, I started the game as such:

Must infiltrate a human controlled civ with a Great Spy before being allowed to change their civics and/or State Religion with espionage
Once a player has reached their designated Stagnation era they may no longer build Research and must lower their Research slider to 0% immediately and leave it there for the rest of the game.

I also gave every AI controlled civ the Archery Technology, and every player no matter if human controlled or not receives an additional warrior, archer and worker along with their regular starting units.

The first turn has been played and sent to Nighthawk. Should we use the Tracker?

Agreed. Done my first turn... Not sure if I have sinimusta's email. If you see this, PM it to me asap

Yes tracker. Why change to holy Rome and not actual Rome like you said earlier though?

I said earlier that I considered Rome for myself, I never implied I would add it as an AI.

Since the second American player switched to a European civ I had to add Native America so it's not too empty over there, so to free up a slot I ditched Rome and Vikings and instead put in Holy Rome which is roughly in the middle between those.

Tracker unless there is a reason why not.

Will be interesting to see how good or bad the player order is. Looking like one turn in 2 or 3 days, 1-2 turns per week perhaps, if someone doesn't play during weekends?

Here is an extremely crude estimation, I just picked most times from post timestamps (so if you post a lot, it assumes you can play all the time, and if you didn't post much, it assumes you can only play in some small window):

Code:
gmt+0
			good1		good2		bad
knö 11-02		18-19->				02-> day
night 14-00		19-20->				00-> day
sini 14-23 		20-21->				23->
REM 11-01		21-22->				01-> day
grog 21-23		22-23->		-> day		23->
luth 10-00		23-00-> day	10-16->		00-> day
pat 16-21		16-17->				21->
zac 14-00		17-18->				00->

I don't think the mids would look that nice by the seine anyway. You can be sure I won't try.

Hopefully! Note this turn will take longer as we are having to ask for email addresses. Is there a game on tracker to join knoedal?

With specialists pretty much being the only source of research after you turn down the slider the importance of the mids can not be understated in this game. Then again, since you and I stagnate in the same era, which is after Constitution, the only reason you could really have to build it would be for denial purposes, and I imagine Nighthawk would do everything in his power to conquer you if you do land them. Meanwhile I would just sit back and enjoy the show.

Not yet.

All of this fuss while no doubt the AI-controlled HC will build the Pyramids too far away to be of use to anyone in Europe. I know this won't really happen because the AI, especially on Noble, does not prioritize the Pyramids as much as an SE player, but it would be funny.

I predict that Ramesses will build them (Industrious + stone) and then engage in centuries of warfare with Greece. Too bad phalanxes wreck war chariots!

We are allowed to build nonunique units too... ;)
