Is there anyway to increase in Vincentz Guild number of guild per civ from 3 to more?

Hi, just wanted to try this mod and after starting a new game I'm quite distracted by the fact that I don't get messages when entering goodie huts / tribal villages.
I'm not sure if those are the only messages which are missing.
Two pages back someone said that these parts of the code were edited out, is that true and which file do I need to edit to un-comment them? Or is there some other problem?

Just did a fresh install with all the latest patches on Win7 x64.
Any ideas?

Edit: ok, my fault. I managed to completely NOT see that it is required to install AND after copying the mod files. Works now.

why do you want more than 3?

if you remove either the buildngclassneeded for the masterguildhalls in builldingclassinfos OR remove the guildcharter req in corporationinfo you'll be able to either found guilds in every city (but still only 1 in each city) OR make you able to found unlimited guilds in the 3 Masterguildhall cities. But either would IMO break the idea and function of the Guilds, usually resulting in 1 AI snatching all the guilds. SO neither is advisable ;)

Thank You Vincentz for quick reply. To answer Your question, I would like to have a ability to build for instance 4 or 5 if possible. Of course, You are probably right and it will either break the idea or make AI snatching all the guilds, but yet I would like to try that approach and see what happens. The best for me if I were able to found as You wrote 1 guild in the city(sorta like religions are founded). To do so as i understood i have to remove the buildngclassneeded for the masterguildhalls in builldingclassinfos.xml file, right? Would You be so kind and be more specific about that? I have a program to edit xml files, but i don't want to screw sth up.

Hey I just switched to win 7 and i'm working my mods fine.
However RoM isn't working, whenever i try loading the mod cIV crashes, i coppied the error message i hope it will help.

Hi, sorry for my english

I like play in hotseat mode with my friend, but we never finish the game, because the bugs stop us.

I have 3 bugs

1º I can loot improvements or tiles and I earn money but my friend when loots he doen't earn money.

2º I cant bombard units and It leaves in green but it doesn't happen nothing. This does not happen to my friend.

3º On the turn 470/1050. At the end turn for my friend, but it doesn't pass turn. "Waiting a civilizations" and I can open civilipedia, open cities etc... but it doesn't pass turn.

I would like I can finish my game...

Hello , great thanks for all the creator of this super mod . But I have the same problem of Hackkpo , with the event handler popup . I think it's , perhaps , a translation problem , cause I play in french language and he play , I think in spanish ( the screenshot ) . Those who played in english , have they the same problem ? Hope you find a solution , cause this trouble take a big place in the screen , Thanks .

Hi,

It can be a problem from language, and specially from the french special characters (é,...).
However, I allways play with french language and have no problems.

But I use ROM 2.92 with A New Dawn 1.74, patch G.

In the options ( ALT+CTRL+O ) , in systeme , there is Debug , Error , Advertissment , Infos and Nothing , I noticed that when I change these choices , the kind of the error text change , perhaps it help for a fix . Calvitix , what installation ( Full , lite ... ) You have made ? For me , it's the full install . I saw your name in the traduction of this wonderful mod , thanks for your work !

I think it's better to continue in English, so that other playerrs that have the same problems can have the answers too. Otherwise, you can PM me in French ;)

Could you provide the Pythonerr.log file, in \My Games\Beyond the Sword\Logs.

Do you use the 'Titre de Civilisation dynamique' option ? I debug it for french, but it's not included in patch G. Will be included later.

Game stops at "Initilizing" how do I fix this?

Has it actually stopped? It sometimes take 5 mins or longer to start especially on the larger map sizes and with some map scripts. To see if it is really stopping try a small map and see if it starts OK. If it does then you need to wait. If not get back with what it is you are trying and your PC specs.

Hi, i love this mod and its really amazing, and this is a small problem to say the least cause it works perfectly for me besides this, everytime i end a game to go back to main menu , the game crashes, (its not like its crashing during a game so this is a minor annoyance at best, just want to know if this is a known bug or something i can fix via changing settings in configs etc... Thanks!!!!

1. In one version there is a wonder which stops others looting in your territory. Could this be happening?
2. Bombard units is not working but bombard city defences is.
3. There is a known waiting for civs bug.

The only answer for 3, at present, is to install AND.
 
Zappara,

While working through Civ4UnitInfos.xml to streamline upgrade chains, I saw your error in artillery and light artillery. You either 1) forgot to remove completely Light artillery and thus leaving this dead-end siege weapon in the game or 2) adding light artillery pretech as Artillery and upgrading it toward artillery, then replacing pretech for artillery to Guerrilla Warfare and upgrading it toward Mobile Artillery.

I tweaked that file according to the second possibility but wanted to bring that to your attention :).
 
Whenever I found a new city, there will automatically be a specialist (artist) assigned instead of an additional worked tile. This of course will leave the city not growing at all and the production is slow too. Switching on emphasize food on will only result in an additional worked tile if there are tiles with three or more food.
Is this intended like this?
