Yeah, not sure we quite agree, but not sure what we're really discussing either! :lol: I guess we can more or less safely go until capturing Amsterdam and signing peace and if possible OB. Meanwhile a hybrid of infra and unit builds, moving navy into position meanwhile. A confirmation of a plan would be good though.

Thinking of cancelling the ivory deal with Mansa. We currently trade all our fur away, so we get that back. That makes it happy neutral. The deer we get back we might be able to sell for up to 12 gpt. War Elephants as units are not very crucial anymore, we have maces, trebs and muskets are close. Alternatively could try and see if we land the same deal but with more gpt thrown in by Mansa.

War and Peace:
Capture Amsterdam asap and sign peace. I moved a galleon one square just now, to have a look. 6 workers there. :) Would be nice to gift Willem a few back for his last secrets. Given the fact we only have 8 workers now for 19 cities, might be inclined to gift only 3 workers + 250 gold instead of 5 workers to Willem. Thoughts about this?

Workers:

EP:
On Louis until we see demographics. Then back to Mansa.

Tech:
Keep 0% for now until Oxford done. With the overflow from temple and both chops should get a boost though. Still, might be itchy to whip Oxford if it saves some turns and doesn't cost too much pop. Anyway, I assume the idea is still gunpowder, chemistry.
 
New river city is going where exactly, 2N of the lake? I assume granary first build there.

Would be nice to get a missionary to Popcorn before the overflow from the settler whip if possible.

Love all the trades including canceling with Mansa and then getting all his gold somehow.

Amsterdam is ours, signed peace and OB, will gift workers now and upload again.

Oxford whipped for three pop. One of the reasons: Liz can research liberalism now, she finished education. :eek: I did take the decision of buying philosophy from Mansa for Optics and a good chunk of cash, but I guess it was worth it. We can research lib in 3 turns now, but of course we would have to settle for something cheaper than steel, likely nationalism.

All the luxuries in the world; we'd need gold, silver, ivory, wine and silk of our own. Capturing all of Louis and all of Mansa I think will give all of these, but wine(?). That could be some late game capture and subsequent gift though. This one does go very much along the lines of domination.

So Louis is next? That's fine, but I'm having an itch for Liz too. At least capture London and maybe the other western cities. Case in point is the MoM; we could lib nationalism and rush Taj with GE. Then both 3Clam and 3Fish will pop great people in the next 7 or 8 turns. That's another potential Golden Age. Especially if we don't have to save great people for Isa (summer residence sounds better), then Golden Ages and capturing MoM gains ground IMO. ;) Well, food for thought. UoS is a bonus too (minor, but still), especially with our Christian buildings coming online. Boost to Athens too.

You got hosed on the trireme roll, I got lucky in my set so it evens out I guess.

We need 90ep on Liz to see her research. We could turn the EP slider up for 1 turn and easily see her research.

None of Mansa's cities are placed properly for a summer home, but we could burn and replant of course.

The Galleons are there so we could sail straight to London, it is kind of on the way to Louis also!
