Standing Army / Unit Threshold

I'm sure this has been covered before. So if someone could direct me to the proper thread, that would be helpful.

If not, I have a question. (see attachment)



You'll notice that I hit an "empire support" plateau. What is the total number of units your civilization can support and how is this determined? I believe it is determined by city pop, but I can't find any data to support that.

Check your military advisor (F3). Basically you get 5 free units + 2 or 3 per city + 1 for every 2 population. The explanation is on the left of your F3 screen.

yeah click the top left drop down.. click military units.. then click overview at the bottom of that.
