Stockpiles?

On Medieval TW 1 does anyone know what determines how big of a stockpile your castle has? I've tried upgrading agriculture but I still get 2 years for some.

Castle size, and castle upgrades. Ring walls, Towers, etc.

Still doesn't seem consistent when a Fort with Ring wall and Keep w/ Ballista for me is both 2 year hold-outs. :/

Army size in the castle also changes this. Smaller armies will last longer.

... that would explain a lot since I usually try and keep max garrisons <.<
